Meme game that took itself too seriously and added more achievements, losing its charm. The gambling mechanics are absolutely rigged and statistically impossible.

I got "How to Train Your ♥♥♥♥" from an idle Humble bundle, and honestly, it’s a pretty meh "game". The gameplay is super simple, and while there are some funny memes here and there, there’s not much else that really stood out to me. There is constantly an ad in-game advertising their next game and you can't "X" it away. The upgrade mechanism is also absolutely bare-bones. You have four things you can upgrade: Strength, Stamina, Recovery & Speed. Strength obviously improves the numbers by "1". Stamina determines how long it can idle before needing a "downtime rest". Recovery reduces downtime to allow you to earn more points, which you cannot do during downtime. Speed improves the rate at which you earn points. Occasionally you also get eggs near your ♥♥♥♥ to get pets which are now relevant to do expeditions. You can exchange points for golden eggs to buy him hats, dumbbells, new islands, decorations and change his colors which also improve the overall aforementioned stats. That's it. Idle it for 35 hours, sometimes click on stuff to upgrade and thats it. The one big positive? The achievements are incredibly easy to get, so achievement hunters can knock them out without much effort, but other than that? It's absolutely bare-bones. It's as if someone followed a idle game tutorial on Unity and then put some chicken art options and called it a day. There are no mechanics beyond the absolute minimum for an idle game. The controls are annoying to navigate, the progression isn't satisfying and stalls a lot after like 15 hours and the overlay is poor. Idle games should either be full-screen and minimizable at your leisure, or largely unobtrusive and able to lock to the taskbar. Some games even do both; this does neither. Would only recommend if you want fast and easy 100% achievement games within like 50 hours. Edit: The newest update added 5 new achievements and you need your "♥♥♥♥" to be 75cm or bigger which takes hundreds of hours of brainless idling just to wait for expeditions to end, yaay. Another con on this bare-bone trash.
