I recently picked up a HOTAS/HOSAS setup and was eager to find a game to break them in and this came recommended after some internet searching. It's a game that is easily beaten in a few hours on easy which is generally where you should start but once you reach the conclusion it's clear there's some reason to play it through more than once. It's not necessarily the most compelling reason as the game is pretty narrative light but it's enough to have piqued my interest as I'm now going back through the missions on high difficulties at the time of writing this. At full price this game may not be worth it to you but on a $5 sale it was absolutely worth the price of admission and then some. I'd love to see a sequel if the devs ever to decide to take that on, the space combat genre is one in need of some new blood. The combat is fun with a more nuanced and tactical approach required for high difficulties where you'll need to utilize and command your larger ships in order to have a chance of success against the larger enemy fleets.

Configuring a controller pŕoperly feels like work. I have 51 minutes of this game clocked and literally all of it is trying to make the controls make sense. I just cannot. Which is sad, the game looks promising otherwise. Perhaps I'll go at it with mouse and keyboard at some point, but I don't know. 6dof flying game with a mouse. Come on.

I suck at shooting

Really fun, controls are easy to figure out within your first and second sortie. 10/10 Only complaint I have is there is not a second game, A second installment would be sick and an easy first day buy.
