Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Honestly nah this game completely sucks. It feels bad to play and its janky as hell. Your car will flip over if you drift around a corner too fast. And if you go over a jump at ever so slightly the wrong angle, or if the AI bumps you off the track you are screwed and need to restart. There's hundreds of cars all obtained through loot boxes or the insane amount of DLC, but most of them are completely and totally useless. There are no A, B, C car classes so all of the cars in the game race together but some are objectively far better than others. The tracks are boring and badly designed. The music sucks. The progression in the main campaign mode is pretty terrible. Also the latest update completely bricked the game on steam deck and it looks like that will never be fixed. 3/10

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 24: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If you’re the kind of player who wants to collect every car, I strongly do not recommend this game. The developers made the baffling decision to lock cars behind time‑limited battle passes. Those passes are now expired, which means some cars are completely unobtainable in a legitimate way. The only way to get them today is by downloading someone else’s save file, which completely undermines the point of progression and collecting. That kind of design might work in a free‑to‑play live service game, but for a paid arcade racer, it’s unacceptable. Artificial scarcity and FOMO-driven content have no place here, and it completely soured the experience for me. That said, Hot Wheels Unleashed is fun at its core. The racing is fast, arcadey, and visually satisfying, especially for fans of the brand. Tracks are creative, and the driving model is easy to pick up. Unfortunately, the FOMO-heavy progression system drags everything down. Locking permanent content behind expired passes is a player-hostile decision, and I can’t overlook it.
Verdict – 4/10
Fun arcade racer with solid mechanics, but ruined by terrible FOMO design and permanently missable content. If you care about completion or fair progression, steer clear.
This game has been bricked for the steam deck for what appears to be years. As soon as you try to load the game a “Fatal Error” appears and the game force quits. No updates from Steam or the developers best I can tell. My 3 year old won’t stop asking to play the Hot Wheels game and I can’t find assistance anywhere. What a bummer.
This was one of the first games I got for the Steam Deck. Ran great and was a blast to play. But now it is completely broken!?! It was verified now unsupported making a game I purchased for the Deck useless! If you are planning on playing on the Deck, do not buy this game!
Game doesn’t run on Steam Deck. No track loads past 24%. Seriously, how is this game still Verified on the Deck ?
Fun in short bursts with decent racing, but gets samey, bland and boring very fast. Also monetization is really annoying. Dont recommend it.
seems like they fixed d issue with steamdeck. played boss and normal racing mode both were running smooth
Played on the Steamdeck @MatureContent
This is another one of those games that is priced unreasonably high, but often goes on sale 80-90% off, and at that price is actually a good deal. I got this during sale for like 4 to 5 bucks I think, and I easily found 5 bucks worth of fun in it. This game is like a mix of an arcade racer and car collecting thing, where you open packs to unlock cars that you can then race with, the perfect formula for Hot Wheels. Most of the tracks are cool, though maybe a bit too simplistic, not all of them stayed fun for long. The car collection is pretty good though and offers a lot of different Hot Wheels, from the normal kind to the crazy kind. I played this with my wife on her Steam Deck and we had fun, so I definitely recommend it if you can grab it on sale for around the same that I paid. ————————————————————————————— Help me out by following my Curator, I’d really appreciate it!!
