About

In Homicide Desk you work a homicide the way a real detective's desk works: a case file lands, a short list of suspects, and a screen full of tools. No waypoints, no glowing clues, no cutscenes telling you what to think. Read the evidence, run the lab, and question your suspects in your own words — then decide who you're willing to charge.
Get it right and the case closes. Get it wrong and Internal Affairs opens a file on you.

There is no dialogue tree. Type whatever you want and your suspect answers back in natural, conversational language — deflecting, rationalizing, contradicting themselves. Slide a document across the table and watch their stress meter spike. Push too hard on nothing and they lawyer up and walk. Corner them with the right evidence and the story finally cracks.

Everything lives on the desktop, and you have to actually use it:
Case files — dig through nested folders of reports, statements and photos.
Forensics lab — you don't click "analyze." You align the fingerprint, break the cipher, and calibrate the chromatograph yourself, against the clock.
phone records & photo evidence — flag the timestamp, cross-reference the calls, drag the UV light across the print.
Locked & sealed documents — some files won't open until you've earned the code or unsealed them in interrogation.

A rain-soaked, fictional port city in the Republic of Meridia, rendered as a CRT-era police OS — scanlines, a working world clock, weather on the taskbar, and a case that pushes back in real time with pressure emails and a mid-case twist.
Free-text suspect interrogations that respond to your questions and your evidence
Hands-on forensics, phone-record and photo-analysis puzzles
A physical evidence board with string connections and a case-chain tracker
Written deductions with real consequences for a wrong arrest
Multiple guilty-party variants — reopen a solved case and the truth changes
A living precinct: salary economy, patrol dispatch, commissary, side games
Fully playable in English and Arabic, with full right-to-left support
The case is open, Detective. The desk is yours.

AI slop. They didn't even remove the em dashes, and there was clearly no attempt to hide the fact that the game was made almost entirely with AI.
I enjoyed being able to ask questions without premade prompts but the AI model had issues with consistency and at points just making up details. One of the characters made up a story about working with someone else at a roofing job in the past, another claimed the victim was a ship hand. Sometimes characters would say something and then immediately deny doing so. The creators said that the AI model goes based off a hand-written storyline but appears to be taking more liberties than they intended. The other issue I had was that the storylines were too similar. It chops up all crimes to the same motive. Also, though the creators said AI is only used for suspect and witness replies, the audio evidence sounds generated. In addition this isn't even the full game though I did not see that posted anywhere. Fun concept but given that and all the AI issues I can't recommend this game.

This game's AI model is extremely flawed. "AI is used for one thing: suspect and witness replies during interrogation." is the first thing you read in the about game section. it doesn't matter what you ask or how simple you ask the question. the suspect is always found out right away, I get making games is no walk in the park. its a lot of work, but letting an AI do the work is a shortcut. If you ask me 4.97 is not worth the price if your not putting the effort in for originality. this part is for the developer, please just put in the effort for your characters. It'll be worth it in the end i promise you that. please stop using AI for gaming.
The game is a product of blatant AI use. Although it is stated on the store page, the use of AI is inherently overwhelming. In a detective game, where you need to find contradicting statements of witnesses and suspects, running into contradictions that originate from the way AI works is confusing and misleading. The result is, that the game is not fun and lacks any sense or purpose.
L'échange ecrit avec les suspects, en français , est horrible. C'est quasi incompréhensible. Je déconseil aux fr
I would say maybe but for that price, just get it. First of all, I used wireshark to confirm the game is indeed using a local model and does not connect to the internet. On LLM use: I think its a cool use for it, being able to ask natural language questions. For the most part it works. On the game: it is quite buggy. Also, the game constantly bugs you with popups, phone calls, etc. I wish it would just let me play in peace. At the beginning of a case, I just need 10 minutes to write down a timeline, etc. in that time, there are 6 emails, calls, popups, happening. That is really quite annoying. Another annoying thing is that to submit things to forensics, you have to beat a minigame. I found them for the most part unreasonably difficult to do. They have either ridiculously low timelimits, or a super narrow click window. I don't know why you would put this into a detective game.
After playing through the game, I can say it's definitely an interesting take on the 'Detective Games' space. The interrogations add a sense of freedom to your investigation as you try to figure out how to get the information you need to make an arrest. For the moment, who did the crime becomes immediately obvious so the case is less about figuring out who did it and more about figuring out how to prove they did it. The arrest warrant itself plays a pretty vital role in this case, it uses all the evidence you compiled, the evidence you put forward in the arrest warrant and your reasoning behind arresting who you think did it, to score your assessment and leave you with a 'deduction score'. If you don't find all the evidence or you do a poor job at linking the evidence together, you'll end up with a lower deduction score. Right now, the game does only have 5 cases and the content does feel a bit limited but I don't consider that a write-off for the game. The devs of the game seem deadset on continuing to introduce new content overtime and I think for what the game costs whether you get it now or a couple weeks/months down the line, you'll be fairly satisified with your purchase. Bug wise, I didn't notice many in my own playthrough, there was a slight issue on startup when the game first released but that's since been fixed. There's no way that I can find to load an autosave at the moment so if you're wanting to restart a case it's better to export your save file before starting the case, then importing that save when you want to restart. Other than that the gameplay felt smooth the whole way through. Definitely recommend this if you're looking for a Detective game where you're taking a more active approach in figuring out a case compared to most Detective games out there.
I think the game is fun, but the cases are kind of boring. you know who did it after like reading the first three documents, and a small spoiler: they all have the same motive. EVERY. CASE. the killers always have the same motive, which is kind of nagging me. I see you plan to release more cases soon so pleeeaaase make some more intresting cases, with other motives and maybe not so easy to find out who did it. The game itself is not that easy, but its kind of annoying not being able to arrest anyone because you dont have the last document, that you arent even going to use in the warrant. I like the ai aspect- that you can write your own questions in the interrigation, but the annoying parts of ai is in this game too. Like the suspect is saying "i was there at 10pm" and then i say "you said earlier you were there at 10pm" and then the bot just forgot that they had been saying that. Like forgetting earlier conversation all the time. but the game has many aspects to it, its more than a point and click game and is pretty cheap, so i would definetly recommend this game and just hope the developers can take in some advice from the players:)
