Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 24 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

If you like space rts and action space game, I recommend it. Amazing graphics and sweet story line. I love the cinematic and transitions to game play. Cheers!

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 29: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

An empty game with so much wasted potential.
I have to say, it feels pretty much like I remember from the previous parts. Epic, cool, and beautiful. A bit short though, and both the cutscenes and story are below average, but the gameplay itself is super enjoyable.
Thanks to the general reception, I guess this means this is the last Homeworld. Might as well enjoy it for what it is.
It's a reasonably sound low TTK space tactical RTS that features a lot of cool toys (ships, turrets, mines, etc) that you can play around with to defeat your enemies. In addition there are a variety of upgrades and different ship limits in place allowing players the opportunity to run fleet setups that are different from what other players might use in their playthroughs. The near-pause system they have in place allows players plenty of time to get the lay of the land and make surgical decisions around what your fleet is doing. Campaign might start out rudimentary at first, but it doesn't take long for the enemy to start fighting dirty as missions go on. For example, don't be surprised if a seemingly easy to defeat fleet of ships pop in looking for a fight only to call in reinforcements that warp in behind you right as your forces are about to engage.
So while it's not a game I would have paid full price for, I certainly don't regret getting it as part of Humble Choice.
Story is lame Singeplayer missions are fun though.
Never played the previous Homeworlds. But I really enjoyed the singleplayer campaign. I honestly liked that if you barely made it out of the last level you need spend time rebuilding. If you don't feel like it you can always select to have a "Default fleet". As for ships wondering off as other people say. It's mostly ships on aggressive stance.
high spec computer, laggy as hell, fully optimised computer, games on SSD, not testing my hardware in any way nothing is on any more than 30% at max settings and still 12-15 frames per MINUTE in game ... unplayable dont waste your money
Great expansion of a classic – but somehow missing something new. There are just way too many cutscenes. Cutscene: “Prepare for an attack.” → 30 seconds later: next cutscene – “Enemy incoming!” The constant interruptions really break the flow of the game, and it gets tiring fast. After about 1–2 hours I decided to stop playing, because it was just getting on my nerves. Unfortunately, the game still struggles with the same weaknesses it had back then. Maybe the different modes are better, but with all those cutscenes, I honestly don’t feel like testing them. It would have been better to keep only certain core elements and modernize the rest. Even back in the day, I hated how every ship automatically launches after each jump. The controls are still clunky, and when ships explode, the game stutters for a moment (running on a 7950X3D with a 5090). The graphics aren’t really impressive either. Sure, we’re here for nostalgia – and yes, the music and atmosphere try hard to recreate the old magic, but they never quite get there. Overall, it even feels like the devs took a lot of creative inspiration from Battlestar Galactica. The idea of adding objects for cover is great in theory, but poorly executed. My ships just seem dumb – they don’t position themselves intelligently, and I don’t want to manually adjust vectors for every single group. I got it on sale, and that’s fine. Would I pay full price? Probably not. So, if you’re looking for an add-on or a kind of sequel to the old titles, this might be for you. But for me, it’s missing the modern touches and logical improvements I was hoping for. Sadly, the frustration level was just too high.
