Funnier dialogue than first game, less inclined to making the entire joke wasting your time, skateboard added velocity the first game lacked, much needed mechanic changes to the first person shooter aspect, and I really enjoyed their willingness to burn an entire art style for a 45 minute period that other game designers would have milked for a large portion of or even the entirety of a game. Performance was sub par, few crashes here and there, replayability does not meet the price but that is to be expected with the HOL series, and I thought some of the puzzles were grueling and tedious rather than intuitive. Smaller pacing issue as well, it introduced guns so fast i didn't get used to them until the end of my first playthrough.
Love the first high on life had 0 performance issues until i played HOL 2 Its terrible the crashes the lag spikes the frame drops u name it we need a hotfix for this game asap

I ignored the first game at launch, as I had no interest in the garbage output of that scumbag Roiland, until recently, when I was able to get a key for a few quid. It shocked me by being a genuinely excellent game, with great combat, great upgrades, and honestly funny characters. Did not expect at all. So, I bought the sequel...and instantly realised that everything that made High On Life 1 fun had been utterly removed. All upgrades and 3 of the 6 guns you finish game 1 with are removed, never to be returned (despite the fact that the intro shows it to be a direct, contiguous sequel), and instead of playing a fast paced FPS with lots of gimmicks and gadgets, you are now playing some ultra-light version of Jet Set Radio, as you are forced to bloody skateboard everywhere. There is literally no sprint in the game, as the skateboard replaces it. What were once large, complex fights with multiple enemies, now just has you orbiting round on a series of high-wires and rails, turning the game into a literal on-rails shooter. Total rubbish that I will not be playing any further, as there is literally no fun to be had.

Je recommande mais il faut savoir que ce 2eme opus est en dessous du 1er en terme de qualité et de plaisir de jeu Le gameplay est simple a prendre en main c'est du FPS standard avec des armes vivantes ayant chacune leur habilité et pouvoir spécial. Comme le 1er c'est simple et efficace Le scénario n'est qu'une continuité de l'univers farfelu de High on Life et qui se laisse apprecier malgré son coté completement loufoque La durée de vie est legerement plus elevé que le 1er mais le coté annexe secondaire est toujours aussi faiblard et n'a d'utilité que de trouver des coffres vivant contenant soit de l'argent pour acheter diverses amélioration, des améliorations ou du cosmétique inutile ! Les graphismes sont en revanche vraiment extremement bien reussi ! Le jeu est tres beau en full option 3240p DLDSR ! L'optimisation en revanche il tourne bien 119locké avec quelques baisses mais il y a surtout des bugs par ci par la assez enervant Alors en quoi apres ça il est moins bon que le 1er ? Déjà c'est un jeu ou l'humour a une place importante dans l'immersion et donc peut etre trop importante vu qu'il n'y a pas de voix en VF et je pense qu'on loupe la moitié des dialogues et du fun a cause de ça Le jeux en lui meme est bon oui mais il manque un je ne sais quoi pour atteindre la belle surprise du 1er .. Des passages redondant et franchement chiant comme lors du boss avec le politique.. ça manque d'innovation par rapport au 1 et on a plus l'impression d'une grosse extension à l'ancienne (DLC pour les plus jeunes) que d'un 2eme opus Je ne dirais pas non à un 3eme mais uniquement si grosse innovation et surtout en VF intégrale ! 13/20
