Absolute Top-Notch Action Classic
Hi-Fi Rush is an incredibly fun, charming and clever character action game that merges the stylish action of a Devil May Cry with an omnipresent, thumping, 4-on-the-floor rhythm which governs every move in the game, causing characters, the environment and the player alike to bop and pulse and tap along to its infectious, joy-filled beat. Everything in the game, from cutscenes, to enemy attacks to the player's own moves happens to the beat, turning the game into a toe-tapping dance, akin to the rhythmic edits of Edgar Wright's movies. It feels like something from an alternate, better timeline, where the design ethics and sensible scope of PS2 and GameCube Era games carried over to the present day. It feels like a game that came out on the same console as God Hand 2, Shadow Hearts 4 and Viewtiful Joe 3. The action is perhaps not quite as complex as in DMC or Bayonetta, but the rhythm game aspect adds an extra layer of challenge. Stay on the beat and you'll probably be fine, even as your arsenal and the enemies' expands and the game grows more frantic and challenging. There's also plenty of postgame content to keep you coming back. The game can easily sustain two or three playthroughs. Every level is fun and memorable, with excellent music and great set pieces. It never gets boring or frustrating. The writing and story are also excellent, mixing a cheery SatAM cartoon vibe with some genuinely biting corporate satire. Every cutscene and collectible log has some clever joke, bit of physical comedy or pointed barb at the bloated, inefficient and abusive industry that somehow allowed this shining gem to escape its foetid clutches, like Zeus returning to cut his siblings from Saturn's guts. I cannot think of a single problem with the game that doesn't only become obvious on the third or fourth playthrough. It may well be my favourite action game, ranking much higher than Bayonetta or even DMCV. Play it and be delighted, this one is a must-buy!
I feel like I should start by saying that rhythm games have never really been my thing, but something compelled me to give Hi-Fi Rush a chance and I’m glad I did. From beginning to end, it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The bosses were phenomenal, the movement and combat mechanics were varied and satisfying, the characters were memorable, the world was vibrant and full of personality, and even the story was surprisingly strong. Every aspect of the game felt bursting with creativity. ♥♥♥♥ Microsoft for trying to shut down Tango. A studio capable of creating one of the best games ever deserves so much better.
It is an absolute crime that Microsoft shut this studio down! Such a great game. Tight, fun action with a rhythm twist. Likeable characters and engaging story that keeps you smiling. Played on Steam Deck
I FREAKING LOVE THIS GAME EVERYONE GO BUY BUY BUY IT NOW I SWEAR ON MY LIFE
Seeing the overwhelming positive reviews, I thought Hi-Fi rush was going to be one of the best rhythm combat games out there. But it didn't entirely click for me. The beat timing was consistently early and always a little out of sync. The music itself didn't have that many stand-out tracks. It took until halfway to form any affinity to the characters. The humor started off a little grating. And the combat in the first third of the game is bland. Thankfully, the second half became a great experience; the music was still wonky but nearly every other problem fixed itself and payed off in spades. By the end, I definitely saw what the hype was about. And it was deserved. It's clear Tango Gameworks had something special here. But it was really a diamond in the rough. Probably that's why it became a cult-classic without being a chart-topper by any stretch of the imagination. I kept thinking in my playthrough it was essentially Titanfall 1; brillant, but incomplete. Desperately in need of a sequel to smooth out the edges. If a second game could add some much-needed features, better tracks, and work with the buzzing chemistry of the latter portion of the game, they could send it out with resounding success. It's unfortunate that will never happen. Tango has been shut down as a consequence of Microsoft's failure to leverage their resources. Seeing as the money you spend on this game will not go to its developers or a sequel, it's probably worth considering whether you want it to go here or to a publisher who actually cares about polishing games. I very much enjoyed Hi-Fi Rush, but it's definitely not a "must-play". Whether this is $15 (on sale) well spent is up to you.
Что я понял, пройдя эту игру: 1. Без друзей ты ничего не стоишь; 2. Убивать людей - нормально; 3.
Контроль разума
- это ВСЕГДА злодейское зло не взирая ни на какие детали и критическое восприятие
