First off, i HATE Electronic Arts for the bully conglomerate, life stealing, money sucking, studio destroying, evil demon that this company has become. I have not given them a dime since 2008. But I played and coached football most of my life, I miss it and I broke down. So now that I have confessed, about THIS game. I simulate sports games like watching sports on TV. After tons of tuning sliders, I have gotten pretty close to "watching a real game." This is all I want and this makes me happy. Some bonehead comments from the commentators, but perhaps not as bad as 2008. Some rare glitches to make animations play but has not happened much. I can control all 32 teams in my franchise. 26 delivers what i want from the game but I couldn't tell you about head to head play or Ultimate team or even superstar mode as all I care about is my fake world with fake TV football games. This game makes me very happy in that regard.

When this game first released i thought it was a decent game. QBs felt more realistic with throwing mechanics and they added some nice things to Franchise Mode. UNTIL..... they took away Player mode for Madden 26 AND they took away GM mode AFTER I PAID 70$ FOR THIS GAME! I wanna say this again..... They took away GM Mode when it was already is this god forsaken game! Taking away content for a game after you buy it, is so disrespectful that I'm officially done with Madden. DON'T BUY THIS GAME IF YOU KNOW WHATS GOOD FOR YOU!
My first real game review, and after playing it for a while I am done. This game is maddening, get it? That was not the joke, the joke is the fact ever time I get on this game it becomes more and more unplayable. I used to play this with my brother a lot on Ultimate team, now we barely play anymore. That is due to the fact that it keeps getting worse and worse. It started with a few glitches here and there, physic glitches, UI glitches, and a few crashes. Now the game is completely unplayable. Every time I get on Ultimate team I crash, wanna check the new challenges crashes, wanna see the new player crash, hey wanna see the new packs crash, wanna open a welcome pack crash. Its not a crash that quits the game, no its a crash that say unavailable at this time error, I get it every 5 minutes with every new thing and that's just the tip of the ice burg, the game won't even load as fast as it did when moving from one section to another, like wanna see the new sets, wait 5 minutes till they load, wanna get to the next sections, wait 5 more minutes. If you want to get out of an error, you have to wait 5 minutes for the error to load cause it will stop reacting. You will be unable to interact with anything if you move fast in the ui, the game with just freeze, and on top of that the game is just genuinely bad optimization wise, I get lag, stutters, and so many other bugs in game. I would not recommend this game at all, ever...
this ♥♥♥♥ is so poorly optimized it damn near doesn't even work. EA once again delivers a $70 game that does not meet the quality of the price point whatsoever. I hate myself for continuing to buy these games; why do I keep doing this?
At full price, absolutely not worth it at all. But at 80% off, at the price of an average indie game? Its the best football game on the market (because there isnt much competition). Having a lot of fun even though EA is definitely destroying this franchise, if you like football its worth the $13
This game makes me contemplate life and death. Ravens players make me loose my mind by running getting stopped until 4&20 and throwing the most lucky pass of all time to sorry ass receivers with stick em. Cj stroud is utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ garbage and cant throw to save his life, let alone my oline block for me because they all arive to the game on a short bus.
This game is coded so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that the cpu dosent win by outplaying you, they basicly cheat to force losses on you because EA is too stupid to make a decent opposing defense.
I got EA pass cuz I wanted to check out if this game was as bad as everyone says. And yes it is. As you can see my specs are top notch, and this still plays like ass. WTF because its made on a pc, so why does it play so bad? I havent tried it on Xbox, and i wont this is just unacceptable. PC made this game. It was first introduced in 89 on a PC. EA was made from pcs. And this is the quality they now put out? Very sad, I'm 57 and I've been gaming since Zork when games were just text and came on a cassette tape. EA should be ashamed.
I have been a lifelong madden fan on console. Now that I have a computer, I was excited to try it here. The graphics are better, I can use whatever controller I want. Unfortunately, this game just is not fun. Especially since I've tried NBA 2K26 and seen what a sports game can really be like. For the past few weeks, I've been trying franchise mode and superstar (the career mode) and it just hasn't been fun. The madden gameplay feels broken at times. Players bug out. Wide receivers drop the ball far too often following a catch. Playing with a mediocre quarterback means that some passes just go straight into the defender's hands. Nothing you can do about it. The career mode is a time waste. Period. There is so much needless and boring filler to try to create these "story moments" that it makes the mode feel slow. Every week you are presented with some kind of "choice" like this: A meme has gone viral of you falling down. Your agent wants to take it down and your hacker (yes, you are friends with a hacker I guess?) is offering to do it. However, fans will think you're being a bad sport if you do." Choosing either one has no real ramification and just takes an extra 2 minutes of time. And you do it every week. Madden is a middling game now made only buyable because of an exclusive agreement between EA and the NFL and it's ruined the game for me. Sad. 2/10
Overall the game lacks way too much. No legend rosters, poor franchise mode, play now is lackluster. Copy and past every year.
