For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Heroes of the Monkey Tavern is a decent dungeon crawler that scratches the Legend of Grimrock itch, but its combat and progression systems are highly lackluster. Combat relies entirely on attack cooldown timers. Battles lack strategy, forcing you to stand still and click buttons as timers expire. There is no aggro mechanic; enemies attack characters at random. If a squishy, cloth-wearing class is targeted, you must burn through mana to keep them alive. Compounding this issue, you cannot customize stats to increase your mana pool. Strategy is strictly limited to basic item and potion management. Character progression is equally rigid. Level-ups automatically assign stats and skills with zero player input. Furthermore, the game fails to explain what new skills actually do, drastically needing a hover-over tooltip or context help system. Loot drops are completely fixed, stripping away any excitement of discovery—you simply equip whatever has the highest number. Pick it up on a deep sale if you need a quick grid-based fix, but do not expect a deep or engaging experience.
Yea... it just kinda sucks in general. The writing is bad. The voice acting is bad. The art is bad. You can't customise character portraits. The character portraits are bad. The combat is bad. No Steam Workshop support. It's just not very good.
I'm only recommending this game because of the price. The price makes it worthwhile because it's a very simple game. You go into a dungeon and see how far you can go. No going back to town and the only gear is what you find. it's fun for a while. But, it's frustrating when you get wiped because there's not much you can do about it. It's action combat, but there's no keybinds for attacking. You have to mouse click on the portraits. So, it's basically piano playing with your mouse. Like I said, fun for awhile.
