HELLDIVERS™ Dive Harder Edition

If you like Helldivers 2, you'll like this game. While being and feeling different, the gameplay is still fun, with the signature "Helldivers Chaos" that ensues in the game franchise. While the Shared Camera may initially turn some players off, it actually works wonderfully with this game, since it makes every helldiver feel like they're on a team together, rather than running off to do objectives and linking up every now and then. The upgrade system is also far better than Helldivers 2 in my own opinion, as when you level up/gather 10 samples, you get research points to put toward your strategems and weapons, meaning you can prioritize your favorites first. My only gripe about the game is the way to unlock strategems. You have to click on a system of planets and view the planets in that system, and when "completing a planet" (think of it like completing an operation if you played Helldivers 2 first) you unlock/receive the reward listed, which is typically a new strategem. I don't love this, but it feels more encouraging to go unlock things and play the game this way, and feels rewarding to go on missions for the purpose of unlocking strafing runs, recoilless rifles, airstrikes, and more. The coop is also incredibly fun, and is incredibly easy to play with others/friends. Despite the player count hovering around 500-1,000 players at a time, if your lobby is public then you'll be joined by some other divers. The game feels incredibly active and alive, which is nice. One thing I love most about the game is the Local Coop integrated with online coop. It is so easy to play with friends at home, friends online, or a mix! If you have a buddy or two over (or three), then just give them a controller and press A and they'll be in the game. You can even do this in online matches, so you may be playing with "BigToe488" while you and your friend are playing at your house. 9/10, this game is a gem that you should absolutely try out at the very least. This is steam after all, so if you don't like it, get a refund.
