About

Enter the explosive conflict of the Vietnam War and fight your way through some of the fiercest clashes in modern history. Join the battle raging across an extreme landscape of vast mountain gorges and thick jungle, where the North Vietnamese Armies clash with the military strength of the US Armed Forces. Build tunnels, fly helicopters, drive patrol boats, use historically accurate weapons and work with your team to achieve victory.

Take the battle to the enemy across 6 large-scale maps inspired by real world locations. Play as either the North Vietnamese Army or US Armed Forces and choose from one of 17 specialised roles within a 50-strong team made up of multiple squads. Join or lead infantry, recon, armour, mortar squads and helicopter units, using communication and teamwork with your fellow players to identify objectives and ruthlessly exploit your opponent’s weaknesses. Emergent gameplay features bring intensity and realism to the conflict, as players tackle each battle with authentic weapons, orders and tactics. Follow the chain of command and work together as a team to meet your objectives and achieve victory.

In the heat and fury of the Vietnam War, the battle is more dynamic than ever. New US aerial units feature fully operational helicopters for fire support and supply drops. NVA forces can build extensive tunnel networks to gain the upper hand with surprise attacks. Both sides can hunt the enemy through Vietnam’s complex river network with heavily armed patrol boats built and launched to seek and destroy. Enhanced player movement, including swimming, climbing and fast crawling, and interactions such as dragging co-combatants away from active fire to give them a chance to heal and re-engage, all adds to the immersive battle experience.

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam features multiple distinct gameplay modes pitting players against each other in epic 50 vs 50 multiplayer battles. Warfare mode is a 50 vs 50 tug-of-war style confrontation where two teams fight for control over 5 sectors. Offensive breaks down the opposing forces into an attacking side and a defending side. Alternating new game modes mix up the gameplay parameters to maximise the battlefield experience. This is as immersive as warfare gets!

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Matched by title — a reused name can pair the wrong games. * is a critic aggregate. Prices and positions are each store's United States storefront; Epic charts worldwide. Audience and Score too, except Steam's, which is worldwide.

positive critical· bar length = how often the theme comes up
It feels like a $10-$15 early access title. It was not ready for release. Horrible hit registration, it's nearly unplayable.
Hey Team 17, the landing craft and boats in Hell Let Loose are severely running dry on firepower and desperately need an increased ammo capacity to keep squad landings competitive. Bumping up the ammunition reserves would instantly make beach assaults and river crossings feel far more engaging and tactically viable.
buggy mess
Learning curve from the OG HLL but just as intense, honestly I prefer to play as the NVA with the playstyle of being ground based and strategic vs the brute force of the US with Heli's. Great Game so far, excited for future updates.
if you like the original, this is basically the same game but with a better loadout system and a vietnam theme.
An improved upon version to its predecessor; however as of 8/17/2026 with a fair share of bugs. HLL Vietnam improved upon the original whilst keeping the same look and feel. Graphically is improved although not drastically, which helps it be an easy transition from returning players. There's also some new features as well as things that were improved upon. THE GOOD - The Class system is MAGNIFICENT. Absolutely love this update from the team. As you level you unlock additional weight points as well as weapons compared to the original which mainly changed up your primary weapon and maybe added some things like a satchel in the previous game. Now for example as a Squad Leader you can equip your primary weapon, and even add additional magazines, and have a variety of things such as grenades, smoke grenades, bandages, ammo and HE ammo boxes for example. Huge improvement to the original and leveling the classes is less of a slog. It won't take you 30-100 hours to get to Level 10, easily achievable at a faster rate. - Tunnels, Boats and Helicopters. NVA is so much fun to play with. When command roles play their part, you can build a somewhat extensive tunnel network connecting to garrisons to allow for great flanks, especially in the deep jungle. This is a beautiful counter to the USA which has helicopters that can be used for transport or supplies. Both have their advantages and disadvantages whilst being so different from each other. Boats act as the replacement to the Halftrack. Two mounted guns and the movement and ability to flank via water ways to me feel like a cool feature that can very much add to the playstyle. - Overall I feel as if things were left similar with some new polish. Gunplay and movement feels mostly the same if not better. Nothing to write home about, for newer players it is incredibly slow especially in comparison to other games. I'll take a sidebar here and say that this is never going to be your run and gun game like COD or Battlefield. This is a slow based tactical team based shooter and it does it incredibly well. THE BAD - Leaving this blank for now because I really can't say anything was lowered in quality from the original. And that game was very phenomenal for what it was in my opinion. THE UGLY - Bugs. It was dissapointing to see a two month delay but I encouraged it as I'd rather have a more polished game on release. With that being said, first few days there are a few ugly bugs and I sadly feel these will deter some newer players away. The most persistent I have seen is the audio bugs. I can go a few games without hearing any, or I can hear it every 5-10 minutes on occasion. Best I could describe is like a lag where the last sound you make echoes for a few seconds. If a spawner is close to a building or cliffside for example I have had teammates spawn inside of the structures with no way out. We played a game where OPs were instantly destroyed for our entire team, the second they're placed they would be destroyed. These are all I can think of off memory, and whilst none are game breaking, I am a returning player with a few hundred hours in the first. I'm rooting for this so I'm enduring. I will say I don't think these are horrible and this is by no means a botched or bad release. The potential is insane for this game and the community for the original was beautiful and can continue to be. I feel some negative reviews have to be from gamers who didn't have a true concept of what this game was like. FOR THE NEW PLAYERS; This game is up there as one of the absolute best team based games. If you find a squad that communicates, this game is pure gold. Give it time, and do your best to work together. Don't run solo, communicate with your squad, and if you're a squad leader, communicate with other squads, work together and have fun. Welcome to Hell Let Loose and I hope the community is great to you. Despite the bugs I mentioned, I have played maybe 75-80% of the game without issues. I highly recommend this game. If you are a team player, this game is for you. Learn your roles, and get scared ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as someone crouch walks through the bushes to murder you and your friends. Then do the same to them. God I love this game
