About
Haste is a high-speed third-person running game, set in a collapsing universe. Race through a variety of worlds, master your movement and use items and abilities to progress through each level before it falls apart around you. The game consists of ten Shards, each featuring a collection of procedurally generated levels that must be completed without fail to unlock the next. You’ll encounter challenges and characters on your journey, seeking answers about what lies behind the destruction, and how to escape it!
Third-person high-speed running gameplay
Both single player and online co-op running
10 Shards, each featuring a collection of procedurally generated levels that must be completed without fail to advance to the next Shard
90+ Items that let you customize your build for each attempt to clear a Shard
A story to explore and a lovable cast of characters to befriend
Four spectacular biomes with several different variations
4 abilities to master and 4 different bosses to discover
An unlockable endless mode
Mind-blowing speed is key and every landing counts! Hit the ground running (literally) and you’ll build up speed, but if you fumble it will cost you. You’ll need to think fast and keep track of your ever-changing surroundings to escape before the world crumbles beneath your feet.
In your run you'll be able to collect Sparks to use in the shop levels to manifest items. Items help you customise your run, affecting speed, damage, luck, health and other variables.
Speed through procedurally generated levels as you make your way through each Shard, completing every level before you run out of lives to advance to the next. Gather items and experiment with builds to help you on your way. Your journey through the broken worlds will be unique to you as you try to outrun the apocalypse.
You can now play through the entire game with other Zoes! It's cooperative in that you work together to progress, but we also keep track of player times in levels, which allows for some friendly and pleasant competition. To keep your friends apart we have unlockable skins!

As Zoe, you’ll meet different characters to aid you on your journey, whether through wisdom, encouragement or items to assist you.

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

fun
An immersive, dimensional travel experience with a beautiful landscape and a cheerful story. The music is upbeat and inspiring. The characters are goofy and playful. If you are looking for a game that uses the entire color and emotional palette, this one is for you. You'll enjoy hanging with Zoe and you might just find yourself returning after the story ends to explore even further. The story is pretty short, but ever changing landscapes and the high speed stakes keep the journey interesting. Play this if you are craving a Snowboard Kids 2 experience with none of the competition or the snotty jerks throwing ice bombs at you. It is just you in a race against the collapse of the universe. Battle against the machines that want to extract resources from the universe around you and find a way to run for tomorrow.
Gotta Go Fast!
There will be a TL;DR at the end. ~ Growing up with Sonic The Hedgehog was lots of fun. Great games on the Genesis, quality releases on the GameCube, and some of my favorite Gameboy titles out there. A shame no Sonic games came out in 2006
shut up
- but there was a strange phenomenon that occurred when the since-forgotten Sonic Forces dropped. Lots of folks were questioning if Sonic was ever good. The identity has gotten convoluted. Silly TV shows, farming minigames, casino levels, open world segments, exploration, and more - the part of the game where “you go fast” has waned down to a flickering ember. Much like how the Assassin’s Creed titles once were all about violence and have since turned into sprawling open-world collection simulators where creating furniture and doing chores for historical inserts transformed it into more of a political drama than a game about Assassins - Sonic is now bogged down by many things
fan art notwithstanding
that get in the way of going really, really fast. This is where Haste pops in. The game is - for all intents and purposes - the part of a Sonic game where you go VERY fast. In many ways, because it has devoted its entire design philosophy to this one aspect of gameplay, there’s a lot more to love about going fast in Haste that even premiere speedster games just can’t quite hold a candle to. A lot of the game is deceptively simple - which is something that even the developers themselves scratch their heads over. Outside of the two directional keys (left and right)
You’re never going to hit the back button, and will never pull your finger off of the RUN button
there are only 3 other buttons: dive down, use your speed boost, and use your recharging item (if you have one) The game is all about skipping yourself across the landscape like a stone off the surface of a lake - the more agreeable the angle you land - the better things are for you … if you’re coming in at a harsher angle, you lose speed. Collect [strike]rings[/strike] sparks on your way to purchase powerful items that will make your runs a bit easier, and allow you to zoom through levels with ludicrous speed. As far as the gameplay goes - “Sonic for the Subway-surfers generation” does what it aims to do deceptively well. I keep finding myself leaning into my turns, biting my lip when things get tough, and gasping aloud when an obstacle appears out of nowhere. The actual going fast part of the game is superb with lots of room between the skill floor and the skill ceiling for expression. Collecting items is an absolute necessity in this game. Rolling on through levels with the vanilla kit is fine and good, but the point of the game is to go to plaid - which is something you can only really do with enough items and boost under your belt. The game is, tragically, very stingy with these powerful artifacts - making sure that during the Keep Running option and the Endless Run mode, you are basically incapable of earning any. I wish there was more to say, but there generally isn’t. You can play it with your friend, which is a nice bonus, but this does little to expand its quality core. Outside of simply running to the end of each level, there are roguelike elements, characters, a complex story, character upgrades, and an end-game currency system for grinding. They’re all, sadly, very dry and disappointing. The roguelike elements are underbaked and, for the most part, are forgettable - the characters are as wacky as they are forgettable - the story is a nothingburger - character upgrades lack the power to make the weighty investment worth it - and the end-game currency would need dozens upon dozens of hours worth of grinding to make a dent into, just not very rewarding for the buy-in. So if all these peripheral systems fall flat, why is this game so good and much beloved? Because you get to go fast. That’s why you’re here, it’s what you’re destined to do. So do it. Go fast. Try to get to plaid. ~
TL;DR
6.5/10 Haste is a Well Made game. You get to go very, very fast. That’s the point of it. If that makes your brain cells do the happy dance, the review writes itself. Just don’t expect it to dazzle you with anything else. Turn your brain off, turn on your music, and get those Perfect landings.
Exciting and heart pumping, fast paced, quick reaction, and good story. Overall 10/10
