very confusing plot . apparently the main characters name isn't "halo" it's mastyer chief or something lame like that lol (i only realized this halfway thru the game). newsflash game devs: NOT EVERY FORTNITE SKIN NEEDS THEIR OWN STANDALONE GAME!!!

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

One of the best remakes I've ever played. The graphics and environmental design are the perfect balance of stylization and modernization. The gameplay changes are fluid and add to my enjoyment of the missions without effecting the pacing or tone, and some weapons like the sniper rifle feel cleaner and smoother than ever before in the series. The small dialogue and narrative edits were perfectly placed and chosen to polish up the slightly abrasive jankiness of the original, without softening the narrative intensity, and I would say make the characters feel even more in line with the series as a whole. Music has been edited really nicely for a cleaner presentation while also looping in fitting moments rather than the one-play-done deal of the original. And last but definitely not least, the level restructuring especially on the Library and a few other spots that definitely needed it was all executed perfectly. Now the flood levels actually feel like a progressive decent into hell and desperation, and way more like modern survival horror games. All in all I love everything about it. Even the new bonus missions are fun, if slightly overfilled with shootouts. If I had to pick one thing that irked me at first it was the surprise of Johnson's original voice actor not being involved. I think the new VA does perfectly well with his manner of speech and tone, but the gruff edge is slightly lessened. Regardless his performance alongside chief and the marines in the new missions was an excellent extra slice of Halo lore, and I'm very excited to see what they can accomplish with fixing the mess that is Halo 2, assuming the absurdly 'mixed' balance of reviews on steam doesn't signify a loss in sales. I hope anyone who enjoyed this game and has money to spare will buy extra copies for their friends and family so we can keep heartfelt and caring efforts like this game alive.
Finished the campaign on Legendary. Absolutely amazing experience. The Covenant tried to kill me. The Flood tried to kill me. And apparently, the physics engine wanted a turn too. 4/5 bugs. Would get randomly launched across the map again. Please fix it. I’m sure the experience would be even better if you did.
I was given this game for free by a friend to play co-op together for the good old days, did I have fun? Yes! I was playing Halo Co-op with my friend. Do I think this game is in any way at all worth even half the price tag? HELL NO! I don't think I would have given a positive review even had it been half the price, with the amount of bugs, lack of multiplayer and just wierdly expanded cutscenes that took a tight story and added in more snarky comments... there just isn't much nice to say about it other than "Looks kinda pretty" and "It is Halo" just go play the masterchief collection instead and get many times the fun.
This game made me quit gaming forever. I'm selling my pc for $15 and I'm moving to Tibetian mountains to become a monk.

Awesome remake of the first halo ! I really don't get the hate and am a little frustrated that it puts the next remake in danger. It is literally the first halo but 10 times better, exactly what I, a fan of halo since forever, wanted. I read some reviews and got a little scared about the woke stuff and the weird cortana and all. Turns out they are just wrong. The woman ODST in the prequel missions has a beef with spartans cuz spartans replaced them as the top tier soldiers. Her words toward chief just makes sens lore wise, and she literally goes back on her word and praise the chief later on... Cortana is still hot (I don't even care)... graphics are amazing... Enemies are a lot more enjoyable to fight than in the original. I loved my experience and would recommend for anyone wanting to try halo. Good introduction to the franchise.
