The game's rig. I keep dying to the most stupidest thing, even when I have player damage all the way down, I get one tapped like it was normal. What the ♥♥♥♥ devs.
Strongly not recommend, it's terribly broken, crashing, maps loading so long you die before you see anything, ragdoll controls like in games from 2007

I have 136 hours in the demo and I love the idea and gameplay. But man, it runs terribly on my potato pc with 3070 and ryzen 5 5600X. Demo runs fine btw. Besides the performance, demo still somehow feels better and more polished then the main game. Later ranks feel boring, like there's no counter to full metal armor. Maybe it's the point and by design, but still not very engaging to repeatedly bonk an armored tin can without any damage, hoping it'll get bored and fall over. Kinda disappointed with the full game, it's 3/5 for me but I didn't enjoy it as much as I hoped I would. Edit: oh yeah, and the abyss where you go after your character dies sucks. Everyone who you've killed respawn as zombies, and if your killcount is more than 15 - you're screwed. Zombies are tough but for wrong reasons. They rush you and start biting, dragging your character down. Also they keep their equipment. So you either have to play with honor and mercy and let your opponents live when they yield (but where's fun in that) or you better not die at all and the mechanic is totally pointless.
Столько раз куколдом меня еще нигде не называли xD 10/10
I adored the original demo and was really excited to see what the full release would reveal. The new games are fun, the ui is beautifully created and makes me feel like I'm in medieval times, the ability to dislocate joints in combat is a welcome and very fun mechanic and the customisation of weapons and armour is so abundant I am overwhelmed with the quantity of choices, but nonetheless giddy. Despite this, there are major flaws that I cannot pass. The fps issues are abundant, mentioned heavily by other reviews and immediately seen once entering the game, characters are severely unoptimised, the new faces appear to not wrap properly around injuries when you break the skin and maps are so unoptimised that they cause my PC to get hot to a point where in summer I'm almost burnt by touching the metal at the back, despite having no problem with Elden Ring. There's also seemingly data leaks as while paused and tabbed out my computer whirrs and overheats to the point that I have to sometimes turn off the game if I cannot go immediately back to a round in fear of damaging my computer. The concept of a rework of the graphics in theory sounds reasonable, but every texture has been overdeveloped to a point where even on the lowest possible settings, massive performance issues are caused, bottlenecking a large portion of their community on lower end computers. The gore system is identical to the demo minus a few ways that bodies interact with bleeding and the actual separation during parts being cut off, but for some reason damaged skin layers no longer have a rough, meaty texture. This makes it so a shallow wound that in the demo would've been very visible, due to essentially being a small removed section of skin, is instead just a dark red texture that is layered over which in my opinion, just makes getting small injuries significantly less cool looking. Originally, in the demo eyes were separated to the layers of blood or damage, meaning that if you were soaked in blood you would still see your piercing eyes focused on you unless they received some kind of damage from a weapon. In the full release, this is not present. Instead, there is a red texture over the eyes, which I originally really liked, assuming that eye damage would cause them to rupture or whatever, but eventually I just realised that any blood present around the eye area would immediately soak into the eyeballs, making the AIs feel almost soulless with no reaction to liquids pouring into their vision and continuing on with 20/20 eyesight despite it. Additionally, once you get your hands on a weapon which is sharp you begin to find that the severing mechanics have been changed to a point where you can destroy anything. Once the adrenaline rush of instantly obliterating people ends, I began to realise that in Blossfechten half the time I was dying was because the swords of enemies were swinging out of their hands and cutting me in half. Additionally, the manoeuvres that I was doing during the demo feel less needed, as pretty much any shallow swing with the tip of a long blade can kill a person with ease, even with maximum height and weight with the npc damage slider taken as far down as possible. This isn't to say the game is completely awful, but I find myself so frustrated with it's current state to the point of needing to write a review. If Half Sword Games does see this, please don't give up on this game. The additions from community feedback have made massive improvements which are slowly reaching towards a game worthy of buying, but as of currently, I cannot suggest this game. Until it reaches a point of redemption, just play the demo, its not worth the money yet. TL;DR, customisation is good, making broken skin a deep red texture identical to regular skin and having blood fill eyes without any reaction from npcs is stupid, massive performance issues, please god Half Sword Games pull a No Man's Sky, I'm really rooting for you.
I am unsure why this game somehow has mostly positive reviews now. even with the fun gameplay loop this game overall has far to many issues with it to be worth the $25 you would be spending. the constant crashing. lagging, clipping textures and deletion of save files in no way makes this worth that price point. I do truly like this game and because I got it on sale like I think anyone who has read this should without a doubt do I will keep playing the game and when my issues with are fixed will instead write a positive review but until then either get it on sale or don't get it at all.
The demo is better in every way and is free. Physics got worse, weapons glitch through bodies including your own, swinging your weapon will often make your uninjured character fall, even on flat ground with no movement input. It went from being a great, fun and funny historically accurate physics-based medieval combat simulator to feeling like a drunk toddler moving through peanut butter while ODing on Fent. Plenty of people who played the demo complained and devs basically replied with "yeah, we don't care." For reference I have 120 hours in the demo.
