About
It's a weird time for fans of modern tank combat games. The straight-shooting simulator titles from the turn of the millennium are no more. As tank nerds, we need a game that gets right to the good stuff - modern tanks, realistic system and damage models, and a focus on fun over all.
With Gunner, HEAT, PC! we aim to make that dream a reality.
GHPC will blend game and simulation in just the right amounts, providing awesome fire control and ballistics simulation behind deceptively simple controls. This core feature set serves as the foundation for a rich single player campaign mode, skirmish missions, and (eventually) cooperative multiplayer modes: a satisfying option for every taste. And let's not forget about infantry and support units - tanks weren't built to fight alone. AI-controlled combined arms forces will round out the tactical environment and let armored units shine the way they were meant to.
We're making a great tank game because that's what we want to play.
GHPC features a fictional conflict between NATO and the Warsaw Pact in central Germany circa 1985. Play as armored units from the United States, Soviet Union, German Democratic Republic, and Federal Republic of Germany.

Laid ambush while commanding superior force on retreating NATO forces Got anniíhilated on first contact because of soviet night vision. Pure soviet era tech moment.
While I have a low hour count, this game is refreshingly fun in comparison to others within a similar genera (ahem, War Thunder), while keeping the core control set nearly identical if you enable the right settings. It is nice to see a video game actively show off the capabilities of the Abrams platform, as well as that of T-80 and T-72 without solely focusing on one out of an apparent bias (ahem, War Thunder). It has the main 2 defensive alliances active around the Fulda Area (NATO and Warsaw Pact) and 3-ish unique nations beyond that, being U.S.A. and West Germany on the NATO side, and the Soviet Union and East Germany on the Warsaw side (as of writing this review). The tanks in game range from T-55A to M1IP/IPM1, and has a shockingly realistic-feeling AI system as of upd. 20260618. Overall, if you want a campaign system and AI missions from a game with similar controls to War Thunder, without the jank and straight up misinformation from biased devs, this game is for you. It can be played in many ways, and in the future will get a multiplayer mode I hope to be around to play, as well as a proper campaign mode.

This game is honestly amazing. To start, with the gameplay. The game is heavily WIP, but even in its current state, it's a very fun and engaging experience if you're into tanks and have been looking for a mil-sim type experience. Although AI can be a bit clunky at times, overall vehicles feel like they perform the way the should, enemies are (for the most part) competent and not stupid, nor do they feel completely broken (for the most part). Although your allied AI does feel a bit dumb, they aren't entirely useless, and still shoot their mark. Although for the moment the game is single player PVE, the devs have said that they do plan to make a co-op mode for the game. Now for the state of the game and the dev team. The devs are wonderful. They clearly are very devoted to this game, releasing quite consistent updates, and they listen to community feedback as well. New missions are being added quite consistently, and new vehicles are not rare. QoL improvements are seen constantly, and minor tweaks to make the overall experience of the game are made consistently in response to player feedback. Its great to see a game like this taken care of so well by its dev team, and not only that, but a dev team that cares and listens to its playerbase. The game is wonderful and I highly recommend to anyone looking for a mil-sim experience that's into tanks and AFVs.
fun love the game
Challenging and immersive battlefield strategy.
Very detailed game!
Greatest tank game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GHPC is in a good state for it's target - a 'end-of-the-cold-war' time frame somewhere in Europe: it's really atmospheric (the 'panicked commander' voice acting for example is surprisingly good!) and they are constantly improving it. The latest few patches have really improved optimisation in terms of frames per second, image quality, the latest AI patch is a big step towards improving overall AI response. The post combat 'ray traces' are really cool to watch, the hit decals are really atmospheric (you can do a bit of 'forensic tank death' reconstruction while driving around the battlefield as you see what killed each hull by the type and location of the impact marks). I've played pretty much every tank 'sim' (and a lot of 'tank games') since M1 TP, including professional sims like Steel Beasts, and GPHC is a REALLY fun, really atmospheric tank sim that sticks to it's fairly narrow scope very well. It's absolutely worth a buy.
:)
Far better than war thunder, captures the horror of its setting, and hopefully one day comes to consoles,
