One of the most acclaimed adventure games of all time is now back, better than ever. Grim Fandango Remastered has the all the beautiful art and engaging story fans remember, but has also been remastered to look, sound, and control even better than the award-winning original release.

Pretty funny! Has a dozen of unique skits, quips, and jokes, all subtley slid under a crusty, yet classic doormat. What do I mean by that, you ask? Exactly. Characters are pretty great too! Well written, even the bad guys! There are no "heroes" here, no destiny, nor fate being played. Just a bunch of people trying to get by, with others taking "shortcuts". Combined with the worldbuilding, it's definitely a refreshing take on the whole "spanish skeleton" theme, not having anything to do with tradition or festivals. Like I said, just people going about their day in metropolis limbo. Real smooth, suave in many places, and consistent with it too. For the gameplay, it's your standard point-and-click adventure game. Though it does have some specialty to it, like removing items you don't need when moving on to a new area. That way, you'll know you have all the tools you need for the current one(and whatever else you find there too). There's also the occasional case of nonsensical puzzle-solving, using the most unexpected items on a puzzle piece. This is fine as is, given the humor the game gives off. The problem lies in the lack of a "hint system". Something many puzzle games offer. And for a Remastered, it would've been expected. So if you ever get stuck(and you most likely will), it's best to do the good old trick of "tabbing out". I've been there a couple times. Also, it's lacking a "chapter select" option, another system found in other puzzle games. Want to get to a certain part in the story? Start a new run and get to it! Regardless of missing features, I still think this is a great game to look into! The characters, themes, the atmosphere and worldbuilding, and the twists-and-turns of the story really brings a smile to my face. Fond memories to look back to, and laugh at all the ridiculousness unfolding. Oh Glottis... I miss ya already...

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 12: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Tremendo juego!
más interesante que disco elysium
Great oldschool 3D point 'n' click adventure. Good looking too thanks to the remastered version (at least on a steam deck). Especially the mexican touch and the humor is what I loved the most. But be warned, some of the puzzles need a bit more brainpower than their modern counterparts. It still is a true ninties game. I wish my garage would employ Glottis as it's mechanic <3

If someone needs to be recommended a game, I will take it to him without doubt. Based on Día de los Muertos, Aztec culture, Film Noir. My early impression is from Coco, but truly perceived from this game. Although playing a game 20 yrs ago is must be feeling drowsy and boring for me nowadays, but Grim Fandango has own charms for AVG games lover. All NPCS in game has flesh and blood. every characters have diverse features, Manny, Mercedes, Glottis, Hector, Salvador and so on, every dialogues with protagonist appears with some kinds of dramatic, I especially love Glottis, he usually perform some exaggerated action or say some funny words to tease me, and he never get mad when Manny use him to do something. These featured characters are shaped this game into the statue of AVG game. One more thing appealing me to entrance on this game is the world styles. This game's world is called Land of the Dead, almost characters are calaca figures, the others are setting on devils or animals. instead of Coco, this game also set a material called sproutella for killing skeleton by sprouting some symbolic flowers to destroy bone. Also, I can see Aztec symbols in every chapter, and the final destination which Manny usually mentioning is called Mictlan. The story is romantic and wonderful, However, its core isn't the commonly talking, about the death and oblivion, your second death isn't definitely being forgotten by your lover, but rather the reconciliation between I and myself: about how to confront the death, achieve the self-redemption. You have a chance to do something to help other people for so-called revolución before the body is decomposed. Addicted with Bebop, Big Band and Jazz OST, and also enjoy the pretty background design and exclusive developer commentary in one scene. However, it has a flaw - the gameplay is very bad, very weak guidance or highlight, every puzzles are not straight connection for linking themselves. Besides, frequently bug appeared at a pivoted moment and this game haven't autosave, so that you may get mad and waste a lot of time when you meet a fatal error. Overall, it's a masterpiece undoubtedly, and it is the peak of LucasArts and AVG games. I still remember this saying "Nobody knows what's gonna happened at the end of line, so you might as well enjoy the trip" - Manny.
The definitive way to play one of the best adventure games ever made. Grim Fandango is a classic and if you haven't played it you really should. The world is rich and deep with lots of fun characters and fully realized locations. The dialogue is snappy and the plot puts you on a tour of this bustling land of the dead. Some of the puzzles can be a bit out there, it is an older adventure game after all, but you probably won't care since each one is a change to explore and take in the world. Manny and Glottis are probably one of my favorite straight-man/goofball pairings in videogames but they're not one dimensional. Similarly the game mixes Mexican folklore and noir influences in a really elegant way that, once you see it, seems so obvious that it's a wonder nobody else did it sooner. Clever, poetic, funny. You should play Grim Fandango
Grim Fandango is pretty darn charming. Manny's dry wit and the pure zaniness of Glottis carry this game very well. Obviously, one could critique the game for some of the tropes it falls into, especially with Meche basically just being a prize for Manny, but there is still a lot to enjoy here. The puzzles can be obtuse and I will readily admit to having needed a guide. I recommend using one, since movement in this game is incredibly slow (I can't imagine playing it fresh with tank controls enabled). This means that you'll often just find yourself waiting for Manny to cross from one side of the screen to another. So, overall. Very fun game, great characters, but for the sake of pacing I would recommend a guide.
