Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Choose your side in the American Civil War: Real-time campaign, spanning from Secession to the end of the war, with historical objectives for both sides.
Five campaign scenarios (Pre-War, 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864) and twenty (20) stand-alone battles from 1st Manassas in 1861 to Appomattox Court House in 1865.
Change history: What if European superpowers intervened to end the war, or Lincoln lost the presidential election of 1864?
Scott’s Great Snake: Lay siege, raid and blockade your enemy on land and sea or use blockade runners to keep the life-lines to Europe open.
From Fort Sumter to Appomattox: Watch closely the morale of your citizens and troops. As the war drags on, fervor turns to fatigue, the treasury threatens to run dry, and measures like drafting will cause unrest.
Keep the armies marching: Build and manage the flow of supplies to your armies. Utilize and expand railroad lines to supply and move armies for the first time in history!
Pivotal battles: Fight battles lasting multiple days on historical battlefields. Use engineers to build pontoons and dig trenches, see reinforcements change the tide and commit your reserves to defeat the enemy.
Grant vs. Lee: Manage hundreds of historical commanders with personal attributes and specialization. Famous commanders inspire soldiers and citizens alike and loss of reputation can be irreparable.
Command Great Armies: Huge armies of infantry, cavalry and artillery, with realistic command structures and historical Order of Battle.
Bring the Civil War to life: Amazing Civil War re-enactment and combat footage from LionHeart FilmWorks, and an original soundtrack of old time music and drum and fife band.Updates

way to complicated
Es un juego un tanto complicado al principio si no tienes experiencia con juegos de estrategia y sufriras un poco al principio pero luego se disfruta y representa muy bien la guerra civil americana con un monton de factores y opciones. En general, muy recomendado.

cool gam
The game so far is fun, this review is from the whiskey and lemon DLC POV. In this current state, the optimization in battles is terrible, im getting a constant 5-15 fps with frequent pauses, moving units and battles is just so slow. Until the devs polish battles and makes it run smoother and faster dont get this game. There are some drawbacks that are frustrating such as: - In game battles are lagging and poorly optimized. - I have a high end PC and even switching from High graphics to low graphics the game still runs the same, slow and chunky. -The AI is very not helpful in most engagements, it seems as im doing all the work to even do anything for objectives. - Long wait times both in battle and on world map.
So, what is Grand Tactician the Civil war? For me, its a great mix of Paradox-style Grand Strategy and Total War style battles. You move armies around on the main map, checking supply, arming them with new and better weapons, institute polices and invest in subsidies that unlock better ways of running your army. Finally, you fight in real time battles, using an Order of Battle system and a simple ‘’Defeat all the enemies and hold these Points’’ on a randomly generated map. This game has some real strengths: Its highly customization, both in what you wish to automate, starting conditions and difficulty, as well what mechanics you want to have in your current campaign (For example, turning off Reediness in case you just wanna bum-rush to South/North), it has a good sound design and soundtrack, as well has having a really solid game-play loop. I find that the systems interconnect well, so that what I do on the Campaign map has a direct impact on the battles, and vice versa. The Real time Battles are also fun, and I find myself employing more realistic tactics compared to my Total War days. Now, this game is not flawless. The AI is not always fantastic, the game can be somewhat difficult to get into with a lot of mechanics (Automating them helps on this front) and a high decree of Micromanagement is needed to ensure your armies run properly. I think the fact that producing Weapons takes a long time, while realistic, means that the Early game limits you for an unnecessarily long time. The Lack of Mini-maps on both the Campaign and Battle map is also a weird feature to be missing, and I would happily see it added.Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this game, and I can easily recommend it to all Civil War buffs, since it has loads of fun Easter eggs and alternative history scenarios. If you enjoy Total war, especially Fall of the Samurai, this is a natural evolution in case you want something with more complexity, but still keep the battles real time. Overall, a solid and fun game.
I love historical games and I certainly appreciate the games attention to detail and the portraits of the commanders. Someone went to a lot of hard work to make it accurate.
great fun
Great game here! It stole many many nights of sleep from me, so on one hand f#$k you!!! And on the other hand thank you, I love you for making this absolute gem of a game
Toll!!!
I've tried so hard to like this game but it's unfortunately just "not quite there yet" development and game play wise. edit- it appears they are no longer updating the game from what I've read. I recently played for several but it appears none of the bugs have been fixed, nor the ai improved. I'm sad to say but this game is dead
