Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Choose your side in the American Civil War: Real-time campaign, spanning from Secession to the end of the war, with historical objectives for both sides.
Five campaign scenarios (Pre-War, 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864) and twenty (20) stand-alone battles from 1st Manassas in 1861 to Appomattox Court House in 1865.
Change history: What if European superpowers intervened to end the war, or Lincoln lost the presidential election of 1864?
Scott’s Great Snake: Lay siege, raid and blockade your enemy on land and sea or use blockade runners to keep the life-lines to Europe open.
From Fort Sumter to Appomattox: Watch closely the morale of your citizens and troops. As the war drags on, fervor turns to fatigue, the treasury threatens to run dry, and measures like drafting will cause unrest.
Keep the armies marching: Build and manage the flow of supplies to your armies. Utilize and expand railroad lines to supply and move armies for the first time in history!
Pivotal battles: Fight battles lasting multiple days on historical battlefields. Use engineers to build pontoons and dig trenches, see reinforcements change the tide and commit your reserves to defeat the enemy.
Grant vs. Lee: Manage hundreds of historical commanders with personal attributes and specialization. Famous commanders inspire soldiers and citizens alike and loss of reputation can be irreparable.
Command Great Armies: Huge armies of infantry, cavalry and artillery, with realistic command structures and historical Order of Battle.
Bring the Civil War to life: Amazing Civil War re-enactment and combat footage from LionHeart FilmWorks, and an original soundtrack of old time music and drum and fife band.Updates

Had soldiers not following orders, after a command i gave one unit kept running back and fourth...very buggy and just not fun at all, so in my opinion its not worth the price. If anything this game should be $5-$10 at most
it is one of the best civil war games i have played, it has the room to be the best ever

There is a lot to like about this game. The art is great, the battles are fun, and there is so much potential to what this game could be. But there is so much else that feels half completed. If this was in early access I'd be fine with it, but it's all so frustrating. This game has so much potential but it's not where it should be.
I used to like this game and I really want to give it a positive review, but whatever they did to it recently completely ruined it. The game already had its own quirks about how it handled troop movements and the braindead AI, but now your own units apparently don't want to follow orders. I was fighting a battle and watched, completely baffled, as my army would receive the orders I gave it, begin moving for about 2 seconds, they stop suddenly and cancel my order. I had to watch as a brigade I was trying to send into battle proceeded to sit there drooling on themselves. Every time I told it to move forward, it'd turn for no reason, then stop right in its tracks, exposing its flank to the Confederates and allowing it to be destroyed without even turning to shoot back. Until this AI has at least 2 brain cells to rub together, This game is just not enjoyable in the slightest.
骑兵连,进攻!
The AI is just annoying to deal with as the way how armies retreat and withdraw makes no real sense. The in battle battles tend to be a bit clunky as the movement can be annoying to deal with and the over the movement mechanics are really micro intensive at times.
Bought the game and the DLC and it's not bad, but not great either. Battles are long and very similar to one another. Management is a bit tedious. I've had much more fun with Ultimate General to be fair for half the price (when you count the DLC).
Great Game!
its a good game but for some reason the game updates are not improving it so the ai is just cheating more and more it for some reason command my units and I can't rell do anything because it make me lose and the unist wont go were i tell them to PS I should decide when it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ defeat mostly because my Army is still 100% intact the enemy Army is breaking and I lose yes becuse that how it shoud be FIX IT THANKS
I wouldn't bother, the premise is amazing but the execution is poor. Game has so much promise, but the AI is truly a detriment to any in-game experience. You can see that throughout the discussion boards here. A personal example I have is when doing a Union captain run with the W&L DLC, I was recently promoted to BG and my AI Union general decided to retreat to the middle of North Carolina after a minor defeat in Virginia (AI red flag). And in this same march of retreat we get caught, where for some reason the objective in this battle is that the Union division is forced to attack the 'defending' CSA division. What? We're supposed to be retreating. However even more examples of the AI is that in this same battle, I decided to take my brigade south to flank utilizing the road system for easier maneuverability. While the other 2 BGs decided to march their brigades straight to the enemy through multiple swamps. That didn't end well. Honestly, if the AI was improved and some other tweaks made for easier understanding of 'why' things are happening (again see the discussion boards) this would be a great ACW game. So my recommendation is that if you have an itch for the American Civil War, look towards the Ultimate General series or get a mod for Empire/Napoleon Total War.
