Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Five campaign scenarios (Pre-War, 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864) and twenty (20) stand-alone battles from 1st Manassas in 1861 to Appomattox Court House in 1865.

Pivotal battles: Fight battles lasting multiple days on historical battlefields. Use engineers to build pontoons and dig trenches, see reinforcements change the tide and commit your reserves to defeat the enemy.

Very detailed American Civil War games i have ever played, the campaign mode is quite hard especially for confederate sides due to lack of guns, less ships and lower industry/economy compared to Unions, but i still love to play the CSA due to its challenging environment. Cant wait for the next step (whiskey and lemon) for the career mode. Downside: The Economic is still quite confusing.. even if we tried to build more economic building, the result is not linear.. I think the developer should make the economic simpler with Total War like systems (every building yield some value either for trade or resources can be utilized / money that can be spent)
This is a really great game. Union campaign literally lasted 3 in game months for me after winning 28 battles and beating the confederates. On the other hand when I played the CSA campaign, I am struggling to keep up. I can't win. So it seems if you play union and keep pushing with all your advantages, you can win super easy. But as the CSA you are up to a big challenge. I love this game, but it has its bugs. The ranges especially on artillery can be wonky. You can be on a gorgeous hill overlooking the enemy yet unable to target due to weird fov mechanics. Anyways, with all the bugs in this game, it is just beautiful and the best to accomplish the grand scale of the american civil war. I can play for many more hours and won't be bored!

A strategy game where your units don't line up or deploy where you tell them to randomly face wrong directions super frustrating and yes i had unit ai off still there would be a paint area on map where i told my units to go and yet my units would consistently line up at weird angles exposing there flanks sucks this game could be a lot of fun but idk how you ♥♥♥♥ up such a basic feature anyway yah no not worth it
The Game takes some getting used to. unless you play these type of games. A good knowledge of Civil war history helps also. Fun game though!!
if youre an avid ACW geek, its really good. I enjoy it a lot. Buy on sale. the whiskey and lemons DLC is also a great addition
Incredibly detalied, the pacing and command on the battlefield is excellent
I got gifted this game and i was really excited to play it when i got it. I played some Whiskey and Lemons Campaigns and quickly got constantly frustrated with how dumb the AI can be. For example in one session i was playing as a officer in the CSA and the corp/army that i was in moved out to southern Ohio and then sat there, did nothing, and did not do anything else. i sped up the time scale to see if the army would moved to contest a union army somewhere or attack/occupy any holding but no we sat in the middle of a forest with no supply for 2 years doing nothing!!! to sum up the rest of the session the CSA lost pretty quick. Also this isn't the only campaign I've had this happen in as i did a union game where pretty much the same thing happened. my other issue for the game has to do with combat, you could set up barricades or trenches for your men to sit in and they will move out into the open out of cover once they see a enemy, whats the point of me building this crap if they wont even use it!
The AI is just annoying to deal with as the way how armies retreat and withdraw makes no real sense. The in battle battles tend to be a bit clunky as the movement can be annoying to deal with and the over the movement mechanics are really micro intensive at times.
Pretty good game overall, some features like economy or supply lines exist but don't really seem to matter and research/acquiring new tech is super slow but I don't mind cause all i want is to command the army and not worry about economics. battles are great to command but are kind of laggy when zoomed in and kind of hard to see carnage of fighting (low body count left on the field) and melee could be better mechanically and visually. Personal pet-peave: love the customization of units but wish there were more options and that those options were more visible on battlefield. Would love to see a game like this for other wars or eras with more factions like napoleons campaigns or Italian or German unification wars, or even renaissance wars.
The base game is superb, however Whiskey and Lemons just doesn't work, you are depending on the army commander to know his business and they just don't. They commit 1 or 2 Regt's at a time against the enemy, wait for them to be beaten then throw in the next 2, just awful game play as you have absolutely no control of your career because you need success in battle to progress and with the half wits in charge it is entirely up to chance, may as well roll a dice, it is that random. Base game highly recommended, DLC not worth it.
