Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Choose your side in the American Civil War: Real-time campaign, spanning from Secession to the end of the war, with historical objectives for both sides.
Five campaign scenarios (Pre-War, 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864) and twenty (20) stand-alone battles from 1st Manassas in 1861 to Appomattox Court House in 1865.
Change history: What if European superpowers intervened to end the war, or Lincoln lost the presidential election of 1864?
Scott’s Great Snake: Lay siege, raid and blockade your enemy on land and sea or use blockade runners to keep the life-lines to Europe open.
From Fort Sumter to Appomattox: Watch closely the morale of your citizens and troops. As the war drags on, fervor turns to fatigue, the treasury threatens to run dry, and measures like drafting will cause unrest.
Keep the armies marching: Build and manage the flow of supplies to your armies. Utilize and expand railroad lines to supply and move armies for the first time in history!
Pivotal battles: Fight battles lasting multiple days on historical battlefields. Use engineers to build pontoons and dig trenches, see reinforcements change the tide and commit your reserves to defeat the enemy.
Grant vs. Lee: Manage hundreds of historical commanders with personal attributes and specialization. Famous commanders inspire soldiers and citizens alike and loss of reputation can be irreparable.
Command Great Armies: Huge armies of infantry, cavalry and artillery, with realistic command structures and historical Order of Battle.
Bring the Civil War to life: Amazing Civil War re-enactment and combat footage from LionHeart FilmWorks, and an original soundtrack of old time music and drum and fife band.Updates

I just genuinely don't have the time to learn this.
Game has the potential to be good, but is so bug-ridden, and the AI is so bad, that I shudder to think sometimes that it may never actually reach the quality it deserves. As of 09/03/23, I cannot recommend.

In my first game I waited for over 40 minutes with the game on max speed before I got into a battle. That battle wouldn't start, the play button was grayed out. After 10 minutes it somehow started and then the real bugs appeared. The AI is really uttery broken. Moving your troops is a disaster. Everything feels very clunky or totally unresponsive. It looks ok, the topic and idea are awesome but these developers don't know what they are doing and this game is waaaaaay overpriced
i really like these types of games i feel like the savior of the south even when my generals somehow lose a battle when they outnumber a union force 3X smaller than them, and when i do the dlc and my fellow generals of the south refuse to help me fight a union army trying to invade Alabama. in all honesty tho it is good it just needs a lot of fixes
This game is special. In every way. For who made it and the circumstances it was made in it really is an incredible game. Filled with lots of bugs and goofs and mishaps, and yet through it all delivers a much more fullfilling xperience than any other War game out there. From the insane depth of the economy, to the grand scale of battle, this game really does the best of any game I've ever seen at creating a Civil War game in which you are the creator of your own destiny. I got this game on sale, probably, I dont actually remember but I never pay full price for games. Anyway, assuming I got at 50% off, $20 or so, absolutely worth every penny. If you have the money and need a good war game that has depth, and meaning behind it (and are also ok with muskets rather than submachine guns) then this game is the best you could get in the modern day. But more importantly, by playing this game, and providing your feedback to the devs (who are working on the next game), we can make sure the next iteration from these guys (please be a 7-years war game that would be SO cool) is not only better, but the single best war game made to date
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3658336845 In my opinion, it is the best American Civil War Online Strategy game available at the moment. It allows the player to refight the entire war from 1861 to 1865 as either the North or the South and control every aspect of the conflict including tactical control of the battles that occur. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3668318865 It has a very steep learning curve and several notable issues, but generally its flaws are more than compensated for by its comprehensiveness and flexibility, and many can be resolved or minimised by personal editing of the game settings. e.g. if you don't like something then modify it, or turn it off. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3666033259 I have had over 1,100 hours of enjoyment out of this game and paid less than £20 for it. So, at £15.37 it's very good value for money. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3666048047 Personally, I have avoided buying the 'Whiskey & Lemons DLC' mainly because I'm not interested in roleplaying a junior officer in one of the armies. There are other games for that sort of thing. But also because I gather a lot of the issues the game has are caused by that DLC. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3652780566
AI inconsistent and at times just foolish. Doesn't attack or support other units when it should. The enemy AI in battle just sits on objectives forcing unwise attacks. Southern forces usually has superior numbers even after years of battle, which was not the case historically.
Good strategy game. If you desire graphics this is not your game but if you really want to take control of a full scale strategy game then this your game.
This is, quite simply, the most enjoyable grand strategy game I've ever played. Is it perfect? No. Bug free, No. But enjoyable? it rocks.
