The Kingdom of Myrtana has been invaded by a relentless horde of orcs. Desperate for powerful weapons to repel them, King Rhobar II orders the mining of vast quantities of magical ore, setting every available prisoner to work in the Khorinis mines. To ensure no one escapes, the King commands his most skilled mages to erect a magical barrier. But something goes terribly wrong, and the magic spirals out of control, trapping everyone inside. The prisoners rebel, transforming the mine into a lawless territory ruled by the Colony’s most brutal inmates.
Now, the King must negotiate with these new rulers, as tensions rise among the mine's factions. Amidst the chaos, the arrival of an unknown prisoner will change everything …

An amazing game.
What they did to the sleeper temple and the final boss is a disaster . You cannot go out, you cannot press save reload, they have their checkpoints, and if you mess up and need to switch you gear, you will be doing it over and over again. Combat is clunky even until the end. The game frequently crashes. The final boss is like its from a different game, fast agile, and the whole game is slow and clunky. While they tried to stay true to the original through the game, they let them self try to innovate towards the end of the game (chapter 5 and 6), and they failed miserably. I ad some fun (before the end), but i would not recommend this game to anyone i know.

gothic is awesome100%
ждем ремейк второй части серии
I started playing this game but the devs keep patching it to make exploration less fun. Don't buy it until it's stable and you can get an understanding of what they took away.
I finished the game on Gothic difficulty as a necromancer, just like I did when I first played it sometime in the early 2000s, and it was absolutely fantastic. Screw the bugs—they will fix them over time ( or is this part of the meatbug conspiracy?) . I cannot wait to see what the modding community creates, because this game is already awesome but still has so much potential to become even bigger, deeper, and more epic, which is honestly crazy. I have absolutely no idea how anyone beats this game on permadeath, but I am definitely going to try.
Loving the game so far, really great RPG systems for skills, interesting world building. Only thing letting it down is the frequent crashes, makes no sense on my system! If I forget to save I've lost hours to it. So currently hard to recommend.
decent remake. still needs more bug fixes and adjustments to some quests/NPC behaviour
Игра очень сильно затягивает. Буду ждать ремейк второй части.
Feels amazing getting to relive one of my favourite games from my younger years. This remake is extremely well crafted and feels faithful to the original. Now give us Gothic 2 Gold Remake please ^^
