About
Whether you are drawn to the lands of Gloomhaven by the call of adventure or an avid desire for the glimmer of gold in the dark, your fate will surely be the same…
Lead your band of mercenaries through this unforgiving place, where every choice is crucial. Carve your way through terrifying dungeons, dreadful forests and dark caves filled with horrific monsters to reap your rewards… or die trying.
Sell your sword to anyone who can afford it, may they be city officials or corrupt cultists. You are paid to get results and not ask questions. Where will you draw the line?
Gloomhaven is a tactical RPG and a digital adaptation of the ultimate strategy board game by Isaac Childres (the highest-rated board game of all time on ). Set in a unique medieval dark fantasy universe, Gloomhaven rewards strategic planning and problem solving. Face this dark world alone or in online co-op for up to 4 players!
Explore the world in a band of 2 to 4 mercenaries. Each of the 17 unique characters comes with their own skills and more than 1,000 different abilities to master! Prepare your deck of ability cards before setting out to explore the dark caves and dreadful forest of Gloomhaven through quests and events.
Once inside a dungeon, engage in tactical turn-based combat by selecting two cards for each mercenary on every turn. You can only use the top half of one and the bottom half of another, so plan accordingly!
Move up your hired blades on the hex grid terrain to take advantage of the dungeon’s environment. Set up deadly combos and unleash devastating powers but be wary of the cost. Cards are a resource as scarce and crucial as your life points, so watch out for exhaustion. Every choice has life or death consequences.
Hone your abilities during the game with enhancements and perks, while your power increases with level ups and new equipment. You need every advantage you can to survive here. So, gear up your band of mercenaries, chase powerful artifacts, buy the favor of the Great Oak, and never let your guard down.
Adapted from the original Gloomhaven Board Game, this branching campaign of 95 story missions pits your greed against your morality. Many powerful opponents are vying for control over the city of Gloomhaven while others are looking for ancient crypts and forgotten artefacts. You could always side with the inhabitants, but it may not pay well…
Whatever your path may be, it will be paved with difficult choices.
Created in collaboration with the community during the early access, the Guildmaster adventure has more than 160 digital exclusive missions that allow you to experience another facet of Gloomhaven with new storylines, quests, map and NPCs.
Lead your guild of mercenaries in a region overrun by unspeakable things, far worse than simple bandits.
Choose the best combination of mercenaries for each fight and follow their character stories in this deadly new territory.

Every market we collect.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 4 → 3.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Feels really close to the original, which is great. Some minor bugs issues here and there, but still way easier to enjoy than dealing with the physical version.

TL;DR : Almost everything about this game made me wish its interfaces were handled how Sunderfolk handles them. It is a wonderful world buried under a terrible interface that may be loyal to its tabletop roots, but is actively hostile to its customers. --------------------------------------- The board game is fun and interesting. This digital game unfortunately tries too hard to directly mimic the board game and not fully take advantage of the digital format or apparently even avoid what seem to be simple issues. One simple example of this is stuff like having a 'hold button to confirm' on some actions, yet also having an option like 'press X to skip' that isn't a 'hold' input. Just seems like an easy oversight. Lots of the cards and actions are also fairly information dense and not as forgiving if you don't know the mechanics from the original tabletop, or even if you do they might be awkwardly inputted. I was completely unable to choose or swap between long rests or short rests on some characters and honestly never managed to figure out why in multiple cases. (There are some instances where you specifically can't due to discards and such but this wasn't related to that). I dunno, maybe the rules were implemented correctly for the tabletop. Maybe they weren't. I couldn't tell most of the time because there either wasn't an explanation in the particular moment or wasn't an explanation for the mechanic earlier on. I did enjoy the tabletop game when I played it which is what had made me inclined to try out this game. Go buy that instead if you have a friend group who loves games (and a large space you can leave it set up in... it's kind of a pain in the butt to move). As for this game on steam, I would recommend you go play something like Sunderfolk instead which is a somewhat similar game niche that theoretically sacrifices detail and depth for playability and ease of use, but due to the ♥♥♥♥ implementation in this game it winds up feeling like it beats it out in both in spades. The one positive thing I will say about this game is that it had couch co-op so we could see some of the problems without having to buy multiple copies. But even that kind of barely worked and we ultimately just played single player and passing around the controller. 3/10. Maybe you'll have a great time with it if you have really low standards.

Gloomhaven tabletop is amazing. Gloomhaven digital is also amazing. The graphics are excellent. The rules are almost exactly the same as the tabletop game, the music and narration is fantastic, and the interface is well-designed. That said, this is definitely a video game port of a tabletop board game, so there are a few understandable differences you should be aware of. 1. It is very easy to "cheat." Whenever you decide to roll back a round to the beginning, the random seed is preserved, so the enemy action card will always be the same, and the attack modifier draws will always be the same (both player and enemy). Of course, there are all sorts of legitimate reasons to roll a round back (forgot to use a potion, accidentally picked the wrong initiative card, etc.), but it's hard not to take advantage of your forbidden glance at the future. At some point, I would like to see some sort of "Do Not Preserve Random Seed" in the gameplay options. But unless that happens, this easy "precognition" could affect the experience for some gamers. 2. The multiplayer experience, especially when using any sort of mod, can be...very aggravating. As other reviewers have noted, there are sync and soft-lock issues. Few things are more frustrating than spending hours playing through a hard scenario with three friends, only to have it crash with no hope of recovery a few rounds before the end. 3. Tabletop strategy purists are going to want to flip the table. Gloomhaven tabletop players are familiar with the "50/50 rule" where, when a monster has an equal chance of moving to one of two hexes (such as when closing to range with a targeted player), the players get to decide which hex it moves to. This is not the case in Gloomhaven digital. The AI decides that here (randomly, as near as I can tell). I'm sure there are important code-related reasons for that, but predictable monster placement is a huge part of tabletop Gloomhaven strategy, and advanced diehard tabletop players are going to hate this soooo much. --------------------------------------------------------- For these reasons, I would highly recommend this game to people like myself who really enjoy playing solo Gloomhaven while controlling two or more characters. It is a fun and addictive strategy experience that can sharpen one's Gloomhaven skills for those occasions when one's college buddies can all get together to play the real thing. However, if you are a strategy purist who is looking for on online multiplayer port that duplicates all the nuances of the tabletop game? Yeah...There's a pretty good chance that you are going to be frustrated with Gloomhaven digital.
