About
Whether you are drawn to the lands of Gloomhaven by the call of adventure or an avid desire for the glimmer of gold in the dark, your fate will surely be the same…
Lead your band of mercenaries through this unforgiving place, where every choice is crucial. Carve your way through terrifying dungeons, dreadful forests and dark caves filled with horrific monsters to reap your rewards… or die trying.
Sell your sword to anyone who can afford it, may they be city officials or corrupt cultists. You are paid to get results and not ask questions. Where will you draw the line?
Gloomhaven is a tactical RPG and a digital adaptation of the ultimate strategy board game by Isaac Childres (the highest-rated board game of all time on ). Set in a unique medieval dark fantasy universe, Gloomhaven rewards strategic planning and problem solving. Face this dark world alone or in online co-op for up to 4 players!
Explore the world in a band of 2 to 4 mercenaries. Each of the 17 unique characters comes with their own skills and more than 1,000 different abilities to master! Prepare your deck of ability cards before setting out to explore the dark caves and dreadful forest of Gloomhaven through quests and events.
Once inside a dungeon, engage in tactical turn-based combat by selecting two cards for each mercenary on every turn. You can only use the top half of one and the bottom half of another, so plan accordingly!
Move up your hired blades on the hex grid terrain to take advantage of the dungeon’s environment. Set up deadly combos and unleash devastating powers but be wary of the cost. Cards are a resource as scarce and crucial as your life points, so watch out for exhaustion. Every choice has life or death consequences.
Hone your abilities during the game with enhancements and perks, while your power increases with level ups and new equipment. You need every advantage you can to survive here. So, gear up your band of mercenaries, chase powerful artifacts, buy the favor of the Great Oak, and never let your guard down.
Adapted from the original Gloomhaven Board Game, this branching campaign of 95 story missions pits your greed against your morality. Many powerful opponents are vying for control over the city of Gloomhaven while others are looking for ancient crypts and forgotten artefacts. You could always side with the inhabitants, but it may not pay well…
Whatever your path may be, it will be paved with difficult choices.
Created in collaboration with the community during the early access, the Guildmaster adventure has more than 160 digital exclusive missions that allow you to experience another facet of Gloomhaven with new storylines, quests, map and NPCs.
Lead your guild of mercenaries in a region overrun by unspeakable things, far worse than simple bandits.
Choose the best combination of mercenaries for each fight and follow their character stories in this deadly new territory.

Great rendering of the board game. Easier to play, in fact. Love it.
I love that this version of Gloomhaven makes it accessible for people playing remotely to play the game together in the multiplayer mode. The controls could be a little better, zooming and scrolling can be a PITA at times but otherwise I am happy playing this.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 4 → 3.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Unfortunately I had to request a refund for this game as it was basically unplayable. The tutorial mode just never goes away so selecting a standard campaign only lets me play with 2 characters. From my search I first though that that would go away after clearing the first room, which it did for that run but came back to the same tutorial popups on the second and third plays. The final verdict according to all the info I can find is that tutorial mode is just so badly bugged that there is no way to get around it except possibly by playing in "Guildmaster" made and not playing normal campaigns. I spend a couple of hours in-game and a few more looking through forums for workarounds with no success and in the end decided it was more trouble than it was worth. Sad because the actual Gloomhaven game is great, just this digital version that is buggy and sucks balls.
it took me a very long time but the game finally clicked for me. it's worth the wait. I had to purchase Buttons and Bugs for the mechanics to make sense, and now there's no going back
Very fun game; requires heavy strategising and can be unforgiving when it comes to mistakes. One round out of position can cost a character’s life, or even the whole game. Having said that, if you’re into slow paced combat that requires foresight, then this would be for you. Each scenario would take approximately one hour; expect heavy time investment to finish the game. Game does come with some bugs though: multiplayer disconnects, cards sometimes not showing their descriptions on mouse over, ui can be very unintuitive and clunky at times. Lovers of Gloomhaven will overlook the negatives because the game mechanics is well crafted and deep. The rounds will almost never play out how you envision due to the randomness of the modifier deck, requiring restrategising on the fly, but it adds another layer of intensity to already difficult combat. Guild master mode is digital only, and designed to be easier. Campaign mode is based off the board game, and will tickle any challenge lovers’ fancy.
Unfortunately a bad game because the developper have not tested their game. At start, it can be hard but you progress more than the opponents until you unlock all of your mercenary group and then its over. After that, difficulties skyrocket to absurd level. Some mission you have more than 10 ennemies has a starter with ridicule buff for them. Only solution, reroll hoping the rng let you have something possible.
A decent digital rendition of the 1st edition game, with a couple of UI issues. Definitely makes setting up the game and playing it much easier than the cardboard version. Runs well at decent settings.
Game is painfully slow with it's loading and processing (especially on NPC and enemy turns). Most of the game was spent waiting. Our PCs are all good and perform well with other games. Otherwise enjoying the game, but it's rough.
game is fine and fun but just puzzling design decisions at times. There's circumstances where you have no other option besides 'use this proc' - so why give the option? the amount of times it slows games down to 'ask' is very tedious. Same with like doing 1 damage moving around with crag. In what world will someone lose a card over taking 1 damage? Basically almost never - but we still get prompted every time it happens, slowing the game down. There's no 'undo action' even when the action was skipped. E.g. if someone skips movement then says wait, i want to move - you should be able to undo it. I get why you can't undo a hit, but not being able to undo a skip action is crazy. The shop doesn't auto select your character giving the impression only the host can buy items, but you just have to click on your character on the left. Why? Auto select the character im playing. The game is still faster than the board game, really, but there's some puzzling design decisions that really make you wonder if the devs even liked this game by the time it came out. This is just a review of the core mechanics, ignoring any bugs - i don't think i'd buy it unless it's 50% off sale. I still enjoy it with friends, but i won't be out here recommending it to anyone.
