About
Inspired by games such as: Ready or Not, Ground Branch, CoD: Modern Warfare and Insurgency: Sandstorm. GERONIMO is a highly realistic, tactical and immersive CQB shooter that has been built from the ground up for Virtual Reality. Play Solo, or with your friends and carry out your operations through our missions, some even inspired by real world raids.
Whether deploying solo or with a full 6-player squad, Geronimo brings unforgiving tactical shooter gameplay into VR, where careful movement, clear communication, and calculated teamwork are essential. Train with your team in dedicated practice environments, including shooting ranges with dynamic targets and customizable killhouses built for refining your tactics before the real mission begins.
In GERONIMO, your equipment is built around how you want to operate. Shape your operator’s look, choose your clothing and armor, then fine-tune your weapons and rig with a high level of control. Position pouches where they make sense, configure your vest for the role you’re playing, and set up each weapon platform with the attachments and layout that fit your style.
Every choice has a practical impact once you’re in VR. A heavier setup can slow you down and make long engagements more demanding. Poor optic placement can make target acquisition harder. A full-length rifle may give you reach in open spaces, but become awkward when clearing tight rooms. Your loadout is not just cosmetic — it defines how you move, fight, and survive.
Every weapon is built with a focus on physical interaction, mechanical detail, and believable handling in VR. Firearms are not treated as simple props — they are systems you manipulate by hand, with actions such as manual bolt locking, magazine changes, charging, and slide operation designed to feel deliberate and responsive.
A high level of animation and interaction work supports each weapon platform, from carefully authored hand poses to moving parts that behave as expected during operation. Slides cycle with accurate barrel movement, controls are placed and handled with intention, and small details are modeled so that using a weapon feels tactile rather than abstract. The result is a gunplay system where precision, familiarity, and muscle memory matter.
Sharpen your skills outside of live missions with dedicated IPSC-style courses and a range of killhouse options built for practice, speed, and friendly competition. Run timed shooting challenges to test accuracy under pressure, compare routes with teammates, and refine the fundamentals that matter most in VR: target acquisition, weapon handling, movement, and control.
Killhouses offer a more tactical way to train, with layouts suited for room clearing, angles, communication, and close-quarters decision-making. Whether you are warming up before an operation, drilling with your squad, or competing for the fastest clean run, Geronimo gives players flexible training spaces where improvement is measurable and rivalry stays friendly.

actually kinda boring
great game slightly unplayable at times but still a great game do reccomend
Where should I start... My initial impressions of the game were truly positive. I was blown away by the impressive level of detail in weapon handling, the support for 3rd party gunstock and the overall immersion. However... Despite a positive reception from player base, the game has received nothing more than a single minor patch so far. True, there is content to play, but the maps are quite limited, the missions are short, and there are very few ways to approach them differently. I bought this title hoping it was a game made by players for players. I realize the development team is tiny, yet I have concerns about the game's future development. I’m quietly hoping for the addition of Steam Workshop support as soon as possible. I still follow the Discord server, occasionally posting minor suggestions but the lack of any news (new upcoming patches and updates) makes me worry about game's future Just please... PLEEEASE - DONT ABANDON THIS GAME!!
best gun gambe oat in vr
Tactical shooters; a great genre. For the vast majority of my time playing vr games i would play standalone. Stanalone is great, no hate towards it. Meta has a few tactical shooter on their store, Tactical Assualt, Split second, maybe some other games im not remembering right now. It was, and still is, a great experience. For my recent birthday i was finally able to afford a decent pc. I was always jealous of my friends with computers, because they could play tons of games i couldn't. I was always stuck with my PS5 and my quest 3. That's absolutely not saying i never had fun, i still had a great time. Once i finally came home from best buy with the machine i've dreamed of owning for almost 4 years i was overjoyed. I bought a few steam games, reinestalled some games i had that couldn't run on the crappy laptop my mom gave me from her time in college, and installed some free PCVR games as well. I had always pictured them to be better than standalone, but it was wayyyyy different. See if you play on a standalone headset like the Meta Quest 3, 3s, or even a Quest 2; you know what it's like. i can probably count on a single hand the amount of games that both look visually impressive and run well on standalone. PCVR is different though. You load up a PCVr game for the first time and you tend to forget that you're playing on a COMPUTER. You aren't running a game on a little mobile chip built for phones in a case so small you can lift it with one hand; you're playing on a computer. Not only did my first PCVR experience shock me with how easy it was, but also with how good it looked. I was used to having super low graphics and maybe 70-80 fps max on some quest games, PCVR was different, as i've said. I could now max out my graphics and STILL get better performance than if i played standalone. Let's bring it back to Geronimo shall we? the closest VR game i own to it would probably be Tactical Assualt. Tactical Assualt was for a long time my favorite VR game. Geronimo just takes it to completely different level. It obviously looks superior, but it's almost better in every way. The guns, the customization, the missions, the sounds, the effects; Geronimo blew me away when i first played it. The astonishing amount of detail alone immersed me so hard. I'm the kinda guy that hates when games get gun sounds wrong, and i can say that geronimo has scratched my itch for realistic feeling and sound guns. As a person who's shot a few firearms myself (classic American ik ik) i know how they feel and sound. Let's take the AR-15 for example. Gun's aren't just flimsy chunks of metal; guns have weight. Very few games can accurately simulate this effect. The guns are either weightless or they're too slow and sluggish. Geronimo even has it's own setting for gun smoothing in game, and i'd say it's perfectly in the middle of the scale. guns aren't 100 tons and can be maneuvered easily with training and practice, but you shouldn't be able to just throw them around like a pillow. Geronimo gets this feeling really well, and it's one of the reasons i really enjoy the game. Speaking of guns; the gun sounds in this game genuinely tmo. I've seen like 3 games before Geronimo that get charging handle, shooting, releasing the bolt catch, and reloading sounds well. I adore the attention to detail the devs put in. The ARs in the game for example have amazing sound. I loveeee how the charging handle sounds when you release it. Geronimo's attention to detail is a commodity often lost in the world of bunny hopping first person shooters and battle royals with rainbow guns and candy skins. The last thing i'll mention is Geronimo's customization. If you're on the fence about this game let me tell you; you should buy it. Geronimo has some of if not THE best available customization of ANY VR game i know. You can customize your vest, your gear, your gun, your helmet; all to your hearts content. I'd compare this game heavily to a game called OPERATOR. The two games are extremely similar, and that's a good thing. They both have amazing customization options for not only your rig and kit, but also your Rifle and Pistol. You can practically put an endless amount of attachments on your rifle in Geronimo. Light, Lasers, grips, risers, and optics; all available to put anywhere on your rifle (anywhere with rails of course.) The way you can set up your weapons in this game is just to another level. I'm over joyed at the creativity i've seen some people go to when setting up their kits. All in all Geronimo is, and has been, amazing. For the low price of $20, how could you say no! my only slight concern is you need a pretty powerful pc. If you're specs arent too far above the minimum you may be in trouble. My Pc can run the game at medium-high settings, and i dont notice super low frames. If you think your pc can run Geronimo then i'd 100% say to buy it. I Really enjoy this game and cant wait for more updates!
I'm enjoying the game a lot on my Quest 2 using Virtual Desktop app. Only issues i'm having currently is that the game crashes when trying to join a public lobby. Other than than that, game runs smoothly at 90fps for me. If you experience a lot of camera shaking, disable OpenXR. 4060TI Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10400 CPU @ 2.90GHz (2.90 GHz) 16GB RAM
Like most early access titles, GERONIMO still needs some polish and tweaks. BUT, in it's current state it feels very good to play. The gun handling is smooth despite some trouble with the mags, every gun feels nice, the customization is very impressive, the maps offer a diverse type of combat situations and overall... the game is just really fun. Can't wait to see what the devs have in store for this game!
