Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4/day in the week to Aug 14 → 33.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Gears of War 1 is a legendary game and I enjoyed playing it again. The campaign is good however felt very easy even on Insane and the gritty style of the game has been sadly removed in this version. The multiplayer was a lot of fun, only came across 2 hackers in 500 odd games, would definitely recommend!
Pros: -Its Gears of War -Its Gears of War 1 (The best Gears) -Its Gears of War UE (Also Gears 1) -The multiplayer -Crossplay/plat w/ PS5 -Campaign is great (Its Gears 1) -The better movement system -No crazy skins -Its Gears of War 1 -The Sniper Cons: -Gnasher is inconsistent and awful -Snub is the snub -Macro Snub -Macro Bounce -Rage Hackers -Bad players (bums) spam report if you are better resulting in bans (skill issue) -Grown men spam report if you say bad words (Rated M game btw) -No Proper ranked play -Unlimited Ammo Hammer of Dawn -Its Gears of War PS. My wife took my kids away from me because of this game 10/10

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I refunded this game because I'd constantly crash on the 4th mission. I had a lot of fun when I could actually play, maybe ill buy it on sale after E-day comes out to play the story in order. However until there's some performance buffs I just can't recommend it.
I loved the Gears of War franchise since it was first released in the mid-2000s. I loved the 1st Gears of War game. I have a lot of nostalgia for this game. It's been quite a long time since I played Gears of War 1 on the Xbox 360 so I don't remember how the AI was in the original and I don't remember the feel of the controls in the original (not much anyway). I have never played the Ultimate Edition so I don't know if it was good, mixed or bad. So I'm just going to be comparing the Reloaded version to the og 360 version. I have not played this game via multiplayer nor co-op. I have only played the single player campaign so bear that in mind regarding my thoughts on the game. Ok, I don't love the look of this remaster. It looks too bright and too smooth. I loved the gritty, dark and desolate look of the original way more. I don't like how smooth the characters' faces are. All they literally did was take the Ultimate Edition from 10 years ago and just sharpened it up a little bit. If you prefer the original look like I did (not necessarily the character models but moreso the setting and atmosphere of the original), then you might not like this look. If you preferred the look of the Ultimate Edition, then you will have no complaints here. And if that is how Anya looked in the Ultimate Edition, I don't like it at all. Her look in the og 360 was bad, but her look in the Ultimate Edition and Reloaded Edition is not good either. The AI just seems to be dumber in this version than in the original game. The Locusts sometimes get stuck and I can just pick them off no problem. Dom is the absolute worst now. He doesn't do jack sh*t in this version. I do not remember Dom or Baird or Cole being this dumb and useless in the original. They do a terrible job of following you and your orders. They don't really fight back and they die a lot. I have to do everything by myself. It's bad. There's not much else to talk about regarding the soundtrack and the voice work since they didn't really change anything. Maybe they cleaned it up a bit more although I have no idea if they did. But, there are some sound glitches. Starting from the main menu to in-game, there are voices constantly talking in the background when there aren't supposed to be any voices talking. It honestly makes me feel like I have schizophrenia. There are times when a character should say something (based off the subtitles I have on) but either the character doesn't talk or the audio level is too low. Either that or they messed up the subtitles. It's weird. OK, you're probably asking if there is anything I like about the game? The controls are good. They are nice and smooth although there is still a little bit of jank like in the original. No problems whatsoever. They don't feel tense and sluggish like in the original (at least from what I remember). Although, I used an Xbox Series X/S controller so obviously the feel would be way better compared to the Xbox 360 controller. And I do have a Hyperkin Xbox 360 controller that I can use, but it does not feel like an original Xbox 360 controller at all. That's why I chose not to use it to play Gears of War Reloaded. The guns/weapons feel good. Dismembering or blowing off limbs or heads still feel good in this game although the jank misses of headshots is still here in this edition like it was in the original which can be annoying sometimes. Aiming is nice and smooth. I do like the aiming reticule/crosshair in this edition a lot more than in the og 360 game. Brighter and way more defined. Reloading is about the same as it was in the original. The soundtrack and sound effects are still excellent. The story is the same. The voice acting is the same. All excellent (except for the glitches here and there and the schizophrenic talking in the background at times). In totality, the game is a bit of a mixed bag. It just feels like a cash grab. They didn't really do much to the game. Just took the Xbox One Ultimate Edition and sharpened up the graphics a tiny bit and sold it to us for $39.99. The game is glitchy. The AI is dumber (or at least feels dumber). They did not update this game with any care. That's how I feel. The game can still be fun, especially if you play this game with a friend in co-op mode or maybe multiplayer mode is great. I don't think this game is worth $40. If you can get it on sale or better yet if you have a Microsoft account and you bought the Ultimate Edition before May 5 2025, you could get this game for free. I paid $20 thanks to a Steam sale but even then, I feel disappointed. I give this game a 6/10. Mediocre remaster. I do not recommend it unless this is the only way for you to play the 1st Gears of War game and you either get it on sale or you somehow get it for free.
TBH my 360 version of the OG looks about as good as this. It's basically a cash grab.
i have tried everything i could to get rid of my black screen when i load into campaign to play but none of it worked i still get the black screen and i can still move around shoot aim and interact but there is no point in it if i can see anything while im playing!!
On sale, sure... not having split screen is ridiculous. I like the single player enough that 10 dollars is worth it.
