The last boss fight straight up didn't work, but otherwise I did enjoy the game. really wish that the developer fixed this issue because otherwise it is a pretty flawless hard platformer.
incredibly addictive frustration/precision platformer. You will see a lot of people mentioned that the achievements are bugged but this has since been resolved via playing a Beta branch. The meme focused humor and movement were all really great for me personally. I can highly recommend it!
Meatboy, Celeste, and Akira Toriyama influences blend together to give the world Garlic. As of writing this (December 29th 2025), you cannot get achievements on the current patch. I played for an hour before realizing this. You need to right-click the game in your steam games list, go to "Properties", then "Betas", and select "46steam_webview2 - 4.6 steamworks webview 2". From there I had to restart the game, but I managed to get all of the achievements - so that's good.

good celeste clone
if you're a 2D platformer type of guy this is the game you're missing in your life. it took ~9 hours for me to complete and its satisfying pacing never faltered in all that time. also its 80s toriyama tributes were great
Amazing art, good controls, very bad/lazy level design with large areas of copy & paste and seemingly random platform and enemy placement, level design feels overall low effort for the most part.
Celeste + Great Teacher Onizuka
It's kino, even if it's really rough around the edges. I like what i've seen so far, and laughed a couple times. Sounds are too loud, but like whatever. I'll play more of it, but it's one of the only things i bought this Summer Sale that was kinda good actually!
10/10 would garlic again
