About
Since the premiere, Frostpunk has been enriched with a number of updates. You can enjoy the new Endless Mode that increases the replayability of the game. There is also a new scenario - The Fall of Winterhome, that further expands the game’s universe and lore. And as a final treat, we’ve added things like naming characters and automatons and a photo mode. All of this is available for free for all the owners of the game. There are also three expansions, available with the paid Season Pass.
Although we are no longer planning further development for the original version of Frostpunk, the possibility of reliving the founding story of New London is rising on the horizon. Frostpunk 1886 will be a reimagination of the original game - remade entirely in Unreal Engine and enriched with new content.
It will combine 70% of the original experience with 30% brand-new material, offering fresh ways to shape your society for seasoned veterans, while also serving as a great entry point to the franchise for newcomers.
We’re committed to launching the game in 2027. As the date approaches, you can expect more exciting updates, a first look at gameplay, and behind-the-scenes content, so be sure to wishlist it and follow our social media channels to be the first to know about future updates!

Frostpunk is a society survival game where heat means life and every decision comes at a price. In an entirely frozen world, people develop steam-powered technology to oppose the overwhelming cold. You face the task of building the last city on Earth and securing the means necessary for your community to survive.
Optimization and resource management often clash with empathy and thoughtful decision-making. While city and society management will consume most of the ruler’s time, at some point exploration of the outside world is necessary to understand its history and present state.
What decisions will you make to ensure the survival of your society? What will you do when pushed to the limit? And who will you become in the process?
Establish laws that regulate the existence of your growing society. Decide on their working routine, healthcare, food provision and other crucial aspects of everyday life. Maintain their hope and contentment – the moral condition of your society is as important as securing the basic means to keep them fed and safe.

If you reach a turning point, do not hesitate to determine the path of your people. Should you rule them with an iron fist... or show them a way of compassion and faith? Reach for extremes or try to find a fair balance. Whichever you choose, remember: there’s no turning back.

Some of your decisions will seem small – like deciding the fate of a troubled citizen or meeting the demands of a newborn faction – but be aware that the sum of your doings can lead to unexpected results. Your people put their faith in you, but their devotion is not limitless. Leadership can be a burden.

Survival demands progress. React to current events, but don’t forget about the long term and investing in development and technological progress. Providing a highly advanced infrastructure with self-powered automatons, airships, and other technical wonders is difficult, but achievable. It all depends on your management and leadership skills.

While New London is your main focus, there is much more to the world than what lies within the limits of your city. Expeditions, while risky, can bring you valuable intel, precious supplies and grow your society’s population. There may be people out there, and their fate lies solely in your hands.

Frostpunk Endless Mode grants you unlimited replayability for the game. Play on 8 various maps, with different terrain, weather conditions and challenges to face. We know that different people look for different experiences and that’s why there are 3 modes to play in Endless Mode. Endurance will be an ultimate test to your building, managing and survival skills in the harshest conditions. Builders, where there is no generator available from the start, which creates a different type of challenge. And last but not least, Serenity which is focused on enjoying the art of building the city itself, without unnecessary pressure.

I disposed of the residents of my settlement so I didn't complete it as it is hard to survive. I am just too dumb for that kind of game. 6/10

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Another Game where the people are assigned work, but don't. a bunch of whining Brits. Can't stop complaining, when they won't even work, so I deleted the town, and they starved. They're not whining anymore.
the game has too much meaning and understanding that it's better this way than not because it can't be otherwise. The value of people and immersion in the atmosphere is maximum, but if you want the maximum, I recommend playing outside in -30 or in a refrigerated chamber. I love nutritional supplements and a clear, simple, but not easy system, but the main thing, in my opinion, is to get into this atmosphere and listen to the fact that 12-hour shifts are terrible and 12 hours of work = death :0. The game is clear, and as I increase the difficulty, it becomes even more interesting to play. If you like diving for a couple of hours in a full freezer, then the game will suit you. As for the possibilities to play, the game is just perfectly optimized and is wonderful with its graphics and music and everything, so almost all builds will be pulled to the limit of normality, but it's clear that not the computers of 2009 on the old pentiums and the build-in of course (see minimum system requirements). Bottom line verdict not a single game has such an atmosphere and beauty of cold and real experience and, so to speak, complete pogrom

Z takich gier kojarzyłem wtedy wyłącznie „Cryostasis: Sleep of Reason”, który wyszło dziesięć lat wcześniej. Oczywiście we wszystkich budujemy i dbamy o dobro obywateli, jednak każdy przedstawia inną historię i oferuje nowe mechaniki. Samą grę z dodatkami można kupić do trzydziestu złotych.
Highly immersive survival strategy with interesting and accessible mechanics. Gameplay is fairly straightforward compared to other games in this genre and quite easy to understand after a few plays. Nevertheless, it stays challenging for the most part, especially in custom mode. Survival and city-building mechanics offer a wide range of possible playstyles. Random events, scenarios, and locations keep the story engaging, so you won't feel bored at all. Bought it for city building and stayed because of the music and atmosphere. The locations are designed very well and are aesthetically pleasing. Winter is portrayed super realistically, to the point that just looking at it makes you feel like you are right there in the cold. I played in the middle of summer and turned the AC on max power just for extra realism Overall, it really adds to the game's replayability. I would definitely recommend Frostpunk to all fans of strategic survival games. Despite its complexity in the beginning, the atmosphere and story keep you hooked and make you try again after a fail. Once you get the hang of it, the game offers players a unique experience. Undeniably a must-play in the genre.
