About

A classic tactical RPG returns! The second game in the main Front Mission storyline is finally available outside of Japan for the first time.
FRONT MISSION 2: Remake blends intense strategy with a deep and involved storyline.
12 years have passed since the second Huffman conflict. The impoverished People's Republic of Alordesh has been suffering a severe economic decline ever since the war ended. In June 2102, soldiers of the Alordesh Army rise up and, led by Ven Mackarge, declare independence from the O.C.U. (Oceania Cooperative Union).

Ash, an O.C.U. soldier, manages to survive the ensuing battle, but Alordesh is completely overrun by the Revolutionary Army. Ash and his surviving teammates infiltrate Alordesh's chaotic underground in an attempt to escape the country. However, they soon discover that there is a huge conspiracy behind the coup.
In FRONT MISSION 2: Remake, the perspective switches between three characters: Ash, Lisa, and Thomas, creating a worldview that goes beyond a simple dichotomy between good and evil.
FRONT MISSION 2: Remake preserves the mature story, strategic turn-based combat, and Wanzer customization options of the original. Enjoy the revitalized classic with updated visuals and new features and enhancements!

Yet another good but flawed remake of a good but fun game. My biggest complaint with the remake is probably the music -- some tracks are good, but also some are just awful. Thankfully you can switch back to the original soundtrack. I also wish they would have done some item balancing, for instance the Donkey DX is effectively a worthless missile launcher that weighs more and yet does less damage (and has the same amount of ammo) as another weapon of the same tier (I forget the name of the alternative). Long weapons are also really horrible too -- which is true of the original game -- requiring you to cheese with grenade launchers against your own team to keep the skill up throughout the game otherwise you'll miss often and hit for minimal damage. All in all, it's great to be able to access this from Steam and modern consoles and am hoping they keep going and remake 4 and 5.
Front Mission 1st Remake set the bar quite high. But this one is particularly not good, also many bug. One thing that bugged me the most is no Ultrawide screen support, the FM1 have it and run perfectly fine. And there are no joy controller mapping consistency between FM1 and FM2, the rotate, zoom and unit select control is a mess. I have to re-map them in Steam Input but still not perfect. 3D Map movement is buggy, the screen keep rorate back into default position after battle. This is annoying and FM1 don't have this issue at all. It's like FM1 remake is the bait, all budget goes there.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Front Mission, tem uma historia envolvente e o jogo é simplesmente muito bom.
I couldn't finish it. made it close to the end and realized it was taking 20ish minutes a mission from just enemy slog that kept getting worse and worse. Compared to 1 and 3 this is probably the least fun one to play. Skip it unless you really want to play it but other than that you're not missing anything story wise. None of the characters I really found interesting and FM3 does some of the same archetypes but better. Gameplay wise It's a worse version of 1. that made it clunkier but with a ton more skills and weapons. 4/10 It's an okay remaster but some of the portraits is eh.
I love FM 1 4 and 4. this game is ass
