Reviews
Can take a very long time to learn the basics but when you get into a flow state it gets extremely fun
complocated but good
this game looked promising and complex, but the 'tutorial experience' made me realize devs gave it too little playtesting, which does not lead me to believe game will 'get better after a few hours'

yea prea tgood
its a crippiling addiction. never played campaign im not good enough to build a large variety of boats but adventure mode is always my go too. build boat like object, boat like object goes forward great success! turn, tips over, build lead pillar to balance, redesign, boat only tips over part of the time. boat does 1 million lazer damage, great success! submarine, spend 30 minutes in my tipping indistructable boat trying to catch up to submarine camping me from 2km away, lazer doesnt work through 2km of water very well. get bored, delete the game, download the game, build even better ship. ship tips over, fix ship, only tips over occasionally, saves ship, exits the game. > didnt save the game. build even better ship. very good! Q: why do my ships keep tipping over? not wide enough? not heavy enough at the bottom? not tall enough?
BOAT GAME
Boat Go Brrrrrr, Missile Go Brr Even More, Cram Cannon Go Brr Less, I Don't Like Cram Cannon
Goated game, easily one of my favourites, it's the best vehicle construction/combat games I've played. You can build very large and complex vehicles with lots of detail, while the base game has rather unoptimised blocks and can cause lag on exceptionally large vehicles you can solve this with mods. The game is not that difficult to learn despite what many people say, the in game tutorials are more than good enough to get you started. The campaigns are a lot of fun even if they are a bit easy even on Super Hard/Godly (You can beat them within a few hours with good vehicles, I beat my first Godly Campaign after like 80 hours on the game in total, time spent designing and fighting). If you enjoy building vehicles for combat and actually using them, large scale battles or complex vehicles, I would highly recommend this game. Easily 10/10. The only issue I really have is multiplayer lacks some QOL features and is kind of buggy in campaign, but it's still alright. I don't know any other games that let you design such complex, large and detailed vehicles (The decoration system is amazing, if you are willing to put in the time you can make insanely detailed vehicles, just look on the workshop) while letting you use them in combat. The only rivals for vehicle designing combat games that I'm aware of are Stormworks and Space Engineers (Honourable mention to Sprocket, but that doesn't use block based building so it can't really be compared). Stormworks combat sucks as designing ai is a huge pain and there is no proper destruction. Space Engineers is decent but a lot less complex, it also has solid MP and servers unlike FTD and SW.
following the tutorial says equip the smg press num key. i pressed every single num key and cant progress. horrendous ui and keys
UI is decent unlike what anyone else says, tutorials are practically useless (i never followed them) also once you actually spend enough time in the game to know what youre doing, the game becomes actually quite fun. regular campaign is a fun challenge for newer players, and things like AoTE are decent extra content for people who want more. Steam Workshop has a truckload of content too. overall, this game is very fun and also made me sink 500 hours into it in less than 2 months.
