Fun game
a game that looks and sounds like this has no right being this difficult. fun and challenging experience. i love that you can go back and do other things and look for bugs and whatnot if you're stuck on the current boss. main downside for me is honestly just the soundtrack. the starting area's music is kinda droning in a way that I found unpleasant. everything past that is more or less fine in terms of music. this game went from "fun and cool" to "this rules" when i hit the city and the rails came off. that ♥♥♥♥ is awesome. i love when metroidvanias open up so dramatically and show you area after area and then you go through and fill them in. definitely check this one out if you can. it's worth it.

Great game I quit Frogmonster is a charming, unique FPS game and I do think it's underrated, but I had to quit it for the sake of my nerves. The level of challenge is very uneven and depends on whether you happen to choose the right path and have the right abilities and guns. There's little to no point trying to beat a boss if you don't have the exact tools needed. Hope a sequel (if it ever comes) will fix this huge issue.

I had such a great time with this game! Big shoutout to the dev for making such a fun experience. The map designs, music, aesthetic, weapons, and bosses were all knocked out of the park. However, the bosses were truly where the game shined brightest. This game is full of very fun and interesting boss designs; some of which straight up blew my mind. All in all, would highly recommend to anyone who would enjoy a "King's Field-like" or just a fun, short, and surprisingly-challenging indie game!
This game really surprised me, and kept surprising me. The soundtrack is incredible and it kept opening up new depths as i went in. I expected this game to be half the size it is, And I would have been happy with that. Instead they made a much bigger game with no loss in quality, arguably the final areas are some of the best. It has some issues with performance and sone attacks feel frustrating, but they're barely noticeable with how grand the rest of this package is. I really loved Frogmonster
great game would recommend to anyone who enjoyed doom or the dark souls games i loved this game very much it just had this charm to it that made it a really enjoyable and unique experience. thanks for making this game.
Frogmonster has a lot going for it, from the whimsical visuals and soundtrack to the hand-crafted open world, packed full of secrets. What really makes the game shine though, are the bosses. Every one of them (and there are over 30!) is unique and interesting, both in their visual design and the gameplay that they facilitate. If you're looking for a fresh and engaging experience and don't mind a bit of challenge, you'll love Frogmonster!
First half is good, incredibly charming characters and visuals, tons of enemy variety, fun bosses, decent soulslike and boomer shooter mechanics. Level design leaves a lot to be desired, outside of the novelty of the voxel graphics, the layouts are just boring or confusing. Second half takes a big hit IMO, enemies become much more annoying to deal with, and boss fights become way too long and overdesigned. Still, worth checking out, the pure charm made me stick it out until the end.
Frogmonster is a fun first person metroidvania. I think the game is really well done. I feel like the difficulty is challenging enough, the bosses are super interesting, the world and environment are really charming, the little modifiers are super cool, it's possible to get absolutely lost in some of the worlds, and overall I just really like what they've done with the game. The story itself is quite lacking, but the world is interesting enough to keep wanting to explore. I've not finished the game yet but I've had some absolutely incredibly fun boss fights, and I hope to fight some more Edit. I've beaten the game. What a rush, incredibly fun, incredibly well made, and I'm so happy to have experienced something as cool as this. The little problems aren't that bad, and once you beat the game, you come to appreciate a lot of what this game was trying to do. I will admit that some upgrades of guns kinda suck, and the runback to many places is frustrating at the best of times. But overall, a hugely positive experience. I just wish more characters talked to me cause I felt a little lonely being a little frog in a big world.
