Your Personality plays the game! Help strange spirits solve their Unfinished Business... or leave them to Despair. In this highly-branching narrative adventure you'll only see about 1/3 of the full story in each playthrough, but the end is whenever you want it to be.

About
You'll never know when the game is watching your actions.
You'll never be judged in terms of Good or Evil.
You'll simply have to live with the consequences of your actions... Whether you intended them or not.

FREERIDE's story reacts to your Subconscious Personality, so each person's first 4-6 hour playthrough will be different.
In fact, you will only see ~1/3 of the full story in a loop, so playing again is recommended to experience to full narrative.
Life is always easier with experience, you know. *)
A Hint>> Each Act can be Solved in 4 ways.
Use the magic of the Gods to rearrange furniture.
Also other things.
Like Basketball!
And don't forget...
But no stress, there are no good or bad way to play the game.

I'm still finding new things in the game, but so far Freeride surprised me in the best way! The characters are memorable and the writing is genuinely captivating and fun. Dialogue and interaction are well balanced. The soundtrack is a delight through the game. The details and references in the game were hilarious to find. YOU CAN PICK UP A LOT OF ITEMS, YOU CAN HORDE THEM, YOU CAN THROW THEM, YOU CAN EAT THEM (all-of-them). Yes, there's a personality test, but there is also a very fleshed out story with a healthy amount of mystery to theorize on with each narrative branch you play to bring more of the story together-if you choose to explore the game after playing for a personality results.
i've been following the develament of freeride for a while but only recently got it, that was a mistake lol. in the promotional material it said that you would forget this is a personality test and that is and isnt correct. for myself i fell deep into the story but at the same its almost impossible to forget from the end of act check ups. but in end its a amazing game and the first i will 100% in. it is one of the best games i've played in a long while

I absolutely loved this game. For any game that is intended to be replayable, I greatly believe that the characters must be interesting, lovable and stick with you. This game perfectly accomplishes that. It is gorgeous, the art and sound direction is wonderful, and I shall be thinking about this for a while. As someone who isn't very picky with actual gameplay (I love story and characters the most), I will say that the combat system is a little clunky. But that might be me being bad at games, so take it with a grain of salt. From my playthrough, I managed to get through without fighting really, which is perfectly viable with how versatile this game is. All in all, a wonderful experience, and I will be trying to get all achievements when I get time.
After playing the playtest and demo of this game and playing the full release on both PC and Nintendo Switch (I mostly played the Switch port), I got to say this: Rebecca Harrison, you really outdone yourself. This is the most unique game I ever played. An role playing game that doubles as a personality test is a very interesting concept. The story was very intriguing and I like how different choices affect how it plays out, like one choice has the story go one way, but a different choice changes the path of the story and go another way. All the characters are very cool in their own quirky way (some more than others) and of all the characters, my heart always have and always will be for Lady Lepida, but that's me. I'm happy I got to experience such an amazing game on both PC and Switch and I'm happy to back this game's KickStarter when I did. This is one game I highly recommend. Keep up the amazing work. Ah-ha.
So underrated. A fun game with lots of endings. It's great to see how it analyzes your personality at the end. The main issues are the clunky fighting mechanics and how the short the story itself feels - I want to see more (though to be fair if you intend to complete all endings you will have more playtime)!!! However it is definitely worth checking out!
I've been waiting for this game since the demo was first released and i can say it totally smashed my expectations! There's so much to explore in this game that it compels you to go back and complete more playthroughs. The art style is fun, unique and refreshing; the characters each have their own vibrant personalities and the story is really interesting. My only gripe is that I wish the game went more in-depth to the actual personality test aspect of the game. Don't get me wrong the entire playthrough is super enchanting but for a game that's advertised as a personality test the run-down in the end left me with many questions. What do each of these arch-types mean? Why am I labelled as a leader? Plus how do the elements correspond to my personality? Maybe I don't fully understand it since I haven't 100% completed the game but I should be able to grasp this from one playthrough. Otherwise the game is certainly captivating and I would recommend this to anybody searching for a game to relax with after a long day.
It's pretty solid game. good character design and art style. however, the story is REALLY rush, you would jump from place to place. The world building element is poorly explained. I get why the story is short as this game is intentionally intended to be loop you play through multiple time. but that make the story shorter that it should. Overall, it's good game but if you want personality test or slow-burn story, i wouldn't sugges.
I usually get my games /somewhere else/ because I don't have a lot of money. However, I installed Steam to buy this game even though I already 100%'d it, which is something I've never done. I like a game when I feel like I've gone on a vacation after I'm done playing it, and when it makes me ask myself "how did they come up with this ??". This game starts throwing insane stuff at you in the very first minute and it pretty much never stops. It made me go "huh ?" every 5 minutes on my first playthrough. It's probably even too much at times, but I don't care, I'm just taking it all in because I'm so used to seeing stuff I've already seen a million times. Everything is memorable to me. The character designs, the sceneries, the ideas. The combat isn't great, there are plot holes, there are bugs. The personality test stuff is kind of overdone and not accurate whatsoever, loops are kind of repetitive. It's a flawed game. Despite all that, it's clear that people poured their heart and soul into this, and that just gives me a fuzzy feeling. The game managed to make me care about it and replay it, chase pointless secrets and earn pointless keychains, which pretty much never happens to me anymore. I'll say, the French translation is absolutely awful (maybe automated ?), which is a shame because that really holds the game back for non english audiences, provided it's as bad in other languages. Great game, glad I randomly found it, will remember it forever, play it with a hot chocolate and headphones in the dark. Thanks for your attention, and if devs read this : much love
Love it and I finally got 100% on achivements :D
