Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 24 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Fragile Allegiance is a science-fiction strategy game that delivers a far more ambitious experience than its age might initially suggest. Beneath its retro presentation lies a deeply layered mix of colony management, diplomacy, espionage, mining, and interstellar warfare that rewards patience and careful planning. Unlike many strategy games that focus entirely on combat, this title places equal importance on economics, politics, and survival within a hostile galaxy filled with competing factions. The result is a complex and immersive space simulation that still feels unique even years after its original release. The game is set within the Fragmented Sectors, a dangerous region of space filled with asteroid fields rich in valuable minerals. Players work under the massive TetraCorp organization and are tasked with building profitable colonies while competing against rival alien corporations for dominance. Instead of controlling planets, players establish settlements directly on asteroids, creating mining operations and expanding infrastructure piece by piece. This unusual setting immediately gives the game a distinctive identity compared to traditional space empire simulators. Building and maintaining colonies becomes the heart of the experience. Every asteroid base requires proper management of energy, housing, oxygen, mining systems, defenses, and industrial facilities. Expanding too aggressively without securing enough resources can quickly lead to collapse, while focusing only on economics leaves colonies vulnerable to enemy attacks. The game constantly forces players to balance growth with security, creating a satisfying sense of progression as small mining stations eventually evolve into heavily fortified industrial strongholds. The economic systems are surprisingly detailed and remain one of the game’s strongest features. Mining operations generate valuable resources that can be sold, traded, or used for expansion. Players can influence markets, engage in black market deals, and manage finances carefully to maintain a competitive advantage. Unlike many strategy games where money feels secondary, Fragile Allegiance makes economics a central part of survival. A poorly managed economy can destroy an empire just as effectively as enemy fleets, and successful financial planning often becomes the deciding factor between victory and defeat. Diplomacy also plays a major role in shaping each campaign. Several alien races compete within the galaxy, each with different personalities, priorities, and political behaviors. Negotiations involve alliances, trade agreements, threats, and betrayals, creating a dynamic political environment that constantly changes over time. One of the game’s most memorable features is the presentation of these diplomatic encounters through animated alien representatives with voice acting and expressive facial animations. For a game of its era, these interactions were remarkably immersive and helped give every faction a distinct personality. Espionage mechanics add even more strategic depth. Players can deploy spies to sabotage enemy colonies, gather intelligence, disrupt production, or weaken defenses before launching attacks. Intelligence gathering becomes extremely important because knowing an enemy’s economic condition or military strength can completely alter strategic decisions. These systems encourage indirect conflict and allow players to manipulate rival factions without relying solely on brute force. In many cases, sabotage and political maneuvering can be more effective than open warfare. Combat itself focuses more on preparation and long-term planning than fast-paced tactical control. Fleets are constructed to defend colonies or launch assaults against rivals, with battles unfolding automatically once combat begins. While players do not directly control ships during engagements, the outcome depends heavily on prior decisions involving technology, resources, and fleet composition. Strong infrastructure, superior weapons research, and efficient economies often matter more than sheer military numbers. This approach gives the game a slower but more methodical style of warfare that fits its management-heavy design. The blueprint technology system is another standout feature. Instead of forcing players through a rigid research tree, technologies are unlocked through purchasable blueprints that can be acquired in nearly any order. This creates flexibility and encourages experimentation because players can prioritize whichever technologies best fit their strategy. Some may focus on military expansion, while others invest heavily in mining efficiency, espionage, or defensive infrastructure. The freedom to shape development paths adds replay value and helps every campaign feel different. Visually, Fragile Allegiance clearly reflects its mid-1990s origins. The graphics are dated, interfaces can appear cluttered, and some menus initially feel intimidating due to the sheer amount of information presented. However, the retro presentation still carries a certain charm, especially for fans of classic PC strategy games. The asteroid colonies, ship designs, and animated alien diplomats help create a believable science-fiction atmosphere despite the technical limitations. The soundtrack and ambient sound effects also contribute to the feeling of isolation and tension that defines the game’s setting. The largest obstacle for modern players will likely be the learning curve. Fragile Allegiance is not designed for quick accessibility, and new players may feel overwhelmed by the amount of micromanagement involved. Managing multiple colonies, monitoring resources, handling diplomacy, and organizing defenses simultaneously can become demanding during larger campaigns. The pacing is also slower than many contemporary strategy games, requiring patience and long-term thinking rather than constant action. Those expecting streamlined mechanics or rapid battles may struggle to fully appreciate what the game offers. However, players willing to invest time into understanding its systems will discover a remarkably rewarding strategy experience filled with depth and freedom. Every campaign evolves differently depending on alliances, economic decisions, and territorial conflicts. The game constantly generates unexpected situations through political tension, espionage, and resource competition, making the galaxy feel alive and unpredictable. Even after many hours, there is always another asteroid to colonize, another rival faction to negotiate with, or another technological advancement to pursue. Fragile Allegiance remains an impressive blend of economic simulation, diplomacy, and space strategy that still stands apart from many modern titles. Its ambitious systems, memorable faction interactions, and open-ended gameplay create a deeply immersive experience for players who enjoy thoughtful and methodical strategy games. While its outdated visuals, demanding micromanagement, and difficult learning curve may limit its appeal for some audiences, the game’s complexity and originality continue to make it a respected cult classic among fans of retro science-fiction strategy. A very clever and unique RTS I recommend it
Menu Soundtrack isS0 t3h GOAT!!!!! Fragile Alliance is a true strategy classic from my childhood, and replaying it still feels special. The gameplay is deep, demanding, and rewards careful planning rather than quick reactions. Every decision matters, and the underlying systems give the game a level of complexity that keeps you engaged long after the first few sessions. It may look simple on the surface, but mastering it takes time and thought. A timeless strategy experience — love. And did I already mention: Menu Soundtrack isS0 t3h GOAT!!!!!
good nostalgia trip. reminds me of when i was a kiddo. A remake when lol ? you could send war crimes on aliens !
