This game has many issues with cheats, mostly by a few Russian and Chinese clans. The devs know about the cheats, the cheaters are reported, they even stream the game with their cheats, and yet the devs fail to moderate the game properly.
the game is good it needs work but over all pretty fun OR it would be , i have no idea why but it seems like voice does not work 80% for players from the MENA Africa and most parts of Asia (unsure about Japan/SK) and while that is an issue it is not the main one, if by any chance you have a spotty wifi/internet connection the game disconnects you which means you will lose on any stuff such as weapons and gear you have and if you think about flying a plane or driving a tank on such a a case you will be a hindrance on the whole faction and the plane/tank you that took you hours/days to grind for is now a large paper weight and since you cant oprate them alone you will make the rest of the team mad at you if you play as infantry it is less of an issue since you lose just what you have on you the game supposedly has a system in place dupped "sleeping soldiers" where you keep the stuff you have or your spot in the vehicles, but form experience I must tell you it DOES NOT WORK if you are lucky it might work, most of the time it wont the speed of the internet is irrelevant as it seems the game disconnects you if you have packet loss (possibly to avoid cheating) honstly I do like the game but with all the issues I had with it I cant recommend it to anyone I know and it makes me angry I cant experience all the cool stuff the game has to offer which is what makes it worse than just NOT playing the game

I have been playing this game for about a year now. I really love this game and the people I have met are all incredibly friendly. The game can be tedious at times but I guess thats part of the charm. The biggest problem I have is not with the game but by how it has been treated by the devs. Every war I have been in played out the same. Either the devs made changes that broke the balance of the game or they ignored the cheating that runs rampant. First war: had lots of fun until I fought in battles where people were clearly using wall/visionhacks to snipe me in the dark or through bunker pieces. second war: Had fun again but the devs decided bunkers needed changing -> everyone bailed on the war and my side lost which made me feel sad. third war: Again met with cheaters using wallhacks. Alts left the door to our base open which lead to the enemy destroying and stealing the tanks we worked weeks on. Fourth: War big airborne update which was clearly not ready for release. Had fun until everyone collectively decided the update was bad. Another war lost. Fifth war: again met with cheaters and a very annoying online discussion whos weapons are better and that the balance is unfair. (it kinda is in some places) Sixth war (current one): Again cheaters have been running rampant. They have been caught with their pants down in 4k and the devs have done nothing to respond to this issue. The ony thing they did make clear is that it's not THEIR problem to police THEIR game. I am furious because I once again feel like I am on the losing side of the war. Not losing in the sense that the other side is better than ours. It's because one side cheated hard (Again in full view for the whole internet to see) and people on my side left because of it. I am fuming while I write this review because I can't change the course of the war fairly and it's just a matter of who cheats hardest.
Very realistic in terms of being cannon fodder or just working logistics. I think this is a game that you enjoy based on the interactions you have with other players based on the reviews. Player base is mostly Chinese and Russians meta gaming and people who have been on it for years from what I saw. I wasn't having fun with it which is sad because I picked up the game on sale after seeing videos about the games many wars and player built lore. I guess it is one of those things where you had to be there earlier to really love it or just be fixated on war.
First few days are amazing, you are blind to all the glaring issues and can easily fall in love with the IDEA of the game which is amazing. Then as you start learning and slowly leave the "romantic period" of playing the game you become more aware of the glaring issues with balance but more importantly the cheaters and straight up hackers. unfortunately plenty of people cheat by using bots to farm 24/7, however the worst part of cheating comes from the people making secondary accounts, joining the opposite faction and purposely ruins the game by deleting items, team killing, destroying buildables or giving away information etc. Then theres the straight hackers who will use third party programs to straight up hack ingame, from duping items to perfect vision, aiming or speedhacking etc. Finally the faction toxicity going on every time theres an issue is easily able to put me off the game..
End the colonial breeding program their pop is back
Normally I dont like to review bomb, especially with this game, but for the sake of solidarity over the latest community crisis I will this time. To somewhat sum up GIVE THIS GAME ACTIVE INGAME MODERATION. IF MODS ABUSE THEIR POWER, DROP THEM IN FIND MORE VOLUNTEERS. HAVING ONE OR TWO MODS ABUSING THEIR POWER WHILE THE REST DO A GENUINELY GOOD JOB IS BETTER THEN YEARS OF INCREASINGLY BLATANT CHEATING THAT CANNOT BE SUFFICIENTLY DEALT WITH EVEN THROUGH MASS REPORTS. CHEATING HAS BECOME SO MUCH MORE APPARENT SINCE SHARDS MERGED. PLEASE DEVMAN, FOR THE SAKE OF THIS GAME, GET AN INGAME MOD TEAM AGAIN!!! Thank you for coming to my ted talk. o7
I like the game I really do....................but........ Total play time to this point has been over 200 hours so I do like the game, I mostly enjoy doing backline logistics and doing midline when it's desperately needed to help the front but after the last update my enjoyment has declined and here is why... I joined the game when Charlie server was active so I joined Charlie, it was fun and enjoyable with alot of friendly and helpful people. Had a problem? Needed advice on a certain part of the game? There was always someone there in chat offering to help. Then the Devs decided to merge Able and Charlie servers with the newest update. I know this game is supposed to be a mmo like game with huge battles and such but damn having too much of something cannot be good; Queue times to get mostly anywhere on the map is a joke, especially to the frontline where people and supplies that you have made at the backline/midline which could have taken a few hours to make and loaded for transport are needed. Doing backline logi now is a total nightmare if you are a solo player or playing with a few friends. With the merger of both servers there are far too many people and not enough resources to go around, salvage and component fields are slow to respawn and most of the time have been surrounded by trenches/bunkers made by Regiments making the area soo small that many people can't farm because there is no room to move if there are other people there. I loved playing backline logi when I was on the Charlie server, to me it had the right amount of players on it, it wasn't overcrowded, there were plenty of battles and I felt like I was making a difference by making and delivering the stuff that the frontline needed but now I don't. I log on, go to backline, can't farm because resource nodes are empty, Regiment facilities loaded with supplies going nowhere (shells, sandbags etc) just sitting there doing nothing. I feel like I have wasted my money because I can't do what I loved doing in the game because of overcrowding and going to the frontlines is a nightmare for me. For example, wait at border for 10 min or so due to many other people trying to get into the hex I want to get into. Finally get into hex, go to trenches or whatever to help, get killed within a few minutes of being there. Rinse and repeat, it's not fun for me. Pointless looking at chat now, ask a question and it's gone, lost into the sea of idiots spouting on about politics or some other bs to get a rise out of people, it's toxic. Even though I do like the game, at this moment in time I do not recommend it.
So I love this game and in the past i would have recommended it, since the merge update tho its just getting worse and worse. Between the clear cheating, night mods, and the alts its just becoming way less fun. I have seen about 3 dozen alts since this war started, with hearing about another 7-8 dozen just plaguing the hex. I thought it was bad when alts were logging on to destroy tanks whenever our tank line pushed their tanks back, but this war has surpassed that, The game needs a proper anti cheat, and a better way to deal with the alts instead of people just tossing on a VPN and switching their steam account. The devs will ban alts but its not that hard to just make another steam account and rebuy the game in a certain currency for under 3 USD and do it all over again. We need a proper hardware ID account locking, we need a proper anti cheat system, and a proper mod system where the devs make the mods and dont let outside client mods run. Some of the mods are great, like some of the logi mods make it super easy to tell stuff apart instead of looking at a tiny symbol, mainly the shells. I have been loving this game and stuff but its starting to just feel unbalanced and doesnt seem like the Devs really care for the player base as long as they are getting paid. Got players swimming with large items, using night hacks, aim bots, and alt accounts and its just becoming unfun.
