About
FOUNDRY is a first-person (first-robot?) factory builder with complete creative freedom set in a procedurally generated and infinite voxel world.
Land on an unexplored planet and design a giant automated robot production facility under the watchful direction of your AI friend, Carl. Navigate the complexities of interstellar trade and sell your products through interplanetary trade networks to reach your final goal: galactic industrial domination.

Progress from manual resource extraction to a fully automated and perfectly optimized factory.
Construct towering machinery and snaking networks of conveyor belts and pipes with no limits on where you build.
Explore a vibrant voxel world and sculpt the landscape block by block.
Research new, more advanced technologies to meet the demands of your ever-growing production lines.
Personalize your creation by unlocking decorative items and new color options.
Maintain a complex power system to keep your factory running at top speed.
Work solo or recruit outside contractors in online or LAN co-op multiplayer.
Create an enormous factory complex stretching from deep underground to the planet’s surface and the skies above.

Create a mechanically magnificent factory and a work of industrial art integrating your creation into the environment around you. Set up your machines far below the surface, high in the sky and everywhere in between. Grid-based construction gives you precise control over where and what you build.
Land on an unexplored planet and explore a procedurally generated sandbox. Journey through dense jungles, gigantic mountain ranges, and great plains stretching into the horizon, with even more to discover beneath the surface.

Design intricate systems of conveyor belts, long-distance transport networks, pipes and elevators from deep underground to automate your research. Unlock more advanced, complex and faster technology to optimize your factory and maximize production.
You’ll start by crafting items and harvesting resources manually but will soon find yourself setting up assembly lines piece by piece to devise a system that flows perfectly. Combine form, fit and function to create a smooth setup that effortlessly transforms raw materials into galaxy-grade robot products without you lifting a metallic finger.

Bottlenecks are your enemies. Remember to maintain a delicate balance between inputs and outputs so that productivity reaches its maximum potential, enabling you to progress through an extensive research tree.
Ensure that manufacturing runs at full speed. Keep your power supply well-fed and, as your factory expands, unlock upgraded machinery, advanced power generators and new customization options that will add efficiency and a splash of color to your production lines.
Work solo or collaborate in co-op and engineer creative solutions to complex logistical challenges in a vast voxel world.

I really enjoyed this game. Factory builders are my favorite genre, and this one kept me hooked for dozens of hours. Even though I'm usually not a fan of block- or voxel-based worlds (like Minecraft), it never bothered me here. The world design fits the gameplay well. If you've played Satisfactory, you'll feel right at home. The gameplay loop is very similar. You can choose from several randomly generated planets and customize resource settings before starting. Pro tip: set resource node density to the maximum, since resource nodes are finite. There isn't much of a story. You play as a robot building a manufacturing empire by assembling other robots and selling them on the universal market. That's the core gameplay: design increasingly complex production lines, optimize your factory, and climb a fictional galactic leaderboard. The tutorial does a good job of introducing the mechanics, with a cast of cute, fully voiced characters. One feature that really makes the game stand out is the ability to design your own massive buildings. Once designed, they're automatically constructed by construction robots, which feels incredibly satisfying. You'll also have your own space station that starts out damaged. Repairing and upgrading it unlocks new features, and it becomes your main hub for selling robots and purchasing materials from the global market. Technical Performance: The game is surprisingly well optimized. Even with a large factory, performance remained smooth for most of my playthrough. As my production grew, the frame rate naturally dropped, but never to an unplayable level. I also didn't experience any crashes, even while using mods. Some negative thoughts: Keep in mind that the game is still in Early Access, so these issues may change over time. The biggest problem I encountered was train logistics, especially when transporting liquids. Loading and unloading throughput feels too low, and there's no proper balancing system for evenly filling or emptying multiple tanks. I'd also love to see additional pipe tiers with higher throughput for large-scale factories. My other criticism is the late-game economy. Once you're producing tens of millions of Firmarlite per day, your vault fills up almost instantly. Upgrading vault capacity doesn't provide enough additional storage to make it worthwhile. At that point, it becomes far more efficient to simply buy most lower-tier components from the market and only manufacture the high-value products yourself, which reduces the incentive to build complete production chains.
I liked it barely enough to continue playing past the refund window but soon hit a wall of just waiting on things. Game feels like a worse version of Dyson Sphere Program.
When a Minecraft and a Satisfactory love each other very much... Quite polished for early access, though several features you'd expect in the complete game are missing still (which is perfectly normal and understandable).
It was like the barebones of every other factory game I had ever played, except with voxels. Maybe there's more later but they really didn't do anything to make a good first impression. Later they added AI so I'm not going to bother giving it a second chance. If you like automation games, go play something with more character. Factorio, Satisfactory, Captain of Industry.
Very underrated.
performance is awefull for a game with this style just play satisfactory with the create mod runs 20 times better
At first I thought it was just a poor version of Satisfactory. But after playing for awhile, I like it better than Satisfactory -- Foundry is more engaging. It keeps your interest and keeps you building and fixing to get more done. Good engineering game and fun to work on the optimization.
