Foundation is a grid-less, laidback medieval city-building game with a focus on organic development, monument construction and resource management.

Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

A fun and surprisingly deep game. It's very uncommon to find a city builder that is both cozy and reasonably challenging. There are still some QoL issues that should be ironed out, but overall it's a great experience with a good amount of replayability. You will have to manage and balance production chains and trade constantly as you build your city, and unlike some other city builders, the trading and tax system allows you ample time to recover before a production shortage destroys half of your population. New villagers are constantly passing through in small groups and can be recruited with a single click, so you don't have to wait for people to have kids or anything. The game provides you with objectives as you progress, they are straightforward in the beginning but require more planning and problem solving as your city grows. There are no enemies, although one of the progression paths is "military" themed - you are basically supplying the crown with resources rather than doing any fighting yourself. I absolutely love the organic, gridless city growth. The cities look natural and will gradually become shaped to complement the landscape instead of just big ugly squares like in similar games. Placing walls and building large structures is effortless, you are only limited by your resource stockpiles. Villagers make their own roads as they move back and forth. The most frustrating thing IMO is the inability to view your maximum storage space for each item without counting each storage individually. This makes adjusting your trade volume a bit annoying, but it's still just an annoyance more than anything. Traders are constantly passing through and it doesn't affect the actual gameplay much, but the devs clearly weren't intending for people to min/max, so if you are that kind of person it may be a bigger issue for you. If you like medieval city builders, this is worth a purchase. Up there with Farthest Frontier, but more cozy and takes itself less seriously.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 18: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Was mir gefällt
Es gibt also genug Content.

This one took a long time to cook, but by the time it went public it was near perfect. Economy, growth, supply chains, EVERYTHING just makes sense. COZY vibes, challenging strategy, satisfying efficiencies. It has it all.
Fun and bug free
Fun, relaxing, great city builder. Having fun playing it.
very fun, kinda complicated but once you learn it it's good
