Forspoken follows the journey of Frey, a young New Yorker transported to the beautiful and cruel land of Athia. In search of a way home, Frey must use her newfound magical abilities to traverse sprawling landscapes and battle monstrous creatures.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
I understand why this game got such poor/mixed reviews. The game itself has fun mechanics but the story has no continuity. The story contradicts itself constantly and any in-game lore available is so vague, its like the writers didn't want to commit to anything. Also, there are like side-challenges or whatever to "save refugees" but where the **** did they come from? Its like they did one of those youtube challenges, "10 devs make a game without talking". The personality of the main character makes sense...for a little while but for some reason she still ends up playing the victim even after seeing mass genocide. She never changes her clothes and she writes letters to her cat, then proceeds to tell said cat to convey a message. Played the DLC...gives a little lore but that entire DLC could have been explained in like a 6 photo montage with a narrator. tldr; idk, i can go on for a while im sure. whatever. game was cool. story was cool sometimes and sucked grinch tits others because continuity. This game is worth like $15-$20

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 28: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.89/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Good game, play it to the end. Likes: cats, great scenery, cats, magic parkour, cats, lots of magic upgrades, cats, music, cats, character development (from a self-absorbed, smart-mouthed street urchin to a respectable, self-sacrificing hero), cats, equipment upgrades, cats, enjoyable gameplay where the difficulty slider actually works, and cats. Dislikes: Dialogue not well written and somewhat cringeworthy, frustrating movement options until certain upgrades unlocked, many cutscenes could have been rendered as dialogue options given players more control over their character, magic upgrade requirements not very clear. The story reminded me of The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant where the main character is hurt, lonely and lashes out at everybody but turns out to be the only person who can save the land and must come to terms with that.
Wasted potential. Uninteresting gameplay loop. Unlikable main character. Unpolished / Lack of Quality. Visually impressive.
Can we have a mod where we can shut her up please. OMG she is super annoying, we to vulgar and her voice is irritating. I just want her to be quite. This is it. Everything else is much better with the game. I get decent performance without using dlss. It does get a bit repetitive if you are a completionist like me. Game has crashed a total of 2 time in my 39 hours of play. I think that is pretty okay as well. Get this game on sale at like 50 percent off. Game is not worth the 70 bucks they are asking.
Luckily got this one on a deep discount. Gameplay feels alright. Story and characters feel 3D and feel alright. But boy oh boy those grey washed down environments. The level design is horrible. As much as I want to enjoy Forspoken, the sad and boring environments made me quit. Zero creativity. Zero efforts. Zero motivation.
This is a fantastic game with awesome visuals and story. I loved it. The graphics are beautiful, the magic insane and the movement fluid. I didn't play this game for a long time seeing all the negative reviews. But i finally did and i loved it. Play it, Experience it and Enjoy it.
Sadly completely broken at this point on Steam Deck. Used to be playable but seems like patches broke it and now no Proton will run it without crashing after 5 min. Sucks bc I played a bit in the past @ a friend's and mostly enjoyed it. The hate it got is disproportionate to the overall quality of the game but alas i prob won't be able to play it without paying for new hardware. Since most even AAA games work on a Deck, that won't be anytime soon.
For a game that emphasizes such "freedom of movement" it sure does take away your ability to move far too gleefully and far too often. Not to mention all the times frey gets hung up on 4-inch steps, and all the times you're like "please stop jumping like a jackass and just open the damn chest please". Awfully long pauses, like don't ask the bartender to make you a drink or you will wait 30 seconds looking at his face while he fills the (offscreen) cup. Get prepared to walk (without freedom!) across the _entire_ bridge under guard. The combat was kind of fun, but it's one of those games where you have to hit every enemy like 30 times to put it down. Mostly, the reason I played it until the end was the cats. Love the cats.
