Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 28 → 0.29/day in the week after.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 102/day in the week to Jul 15 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews

Foretales is a distinctive narrative card adventure developed by Alkemi and published by Dear Villagers that successfully combines strategic gameplay with an engaging fantasy story. Instead of treating cards purely as tools for combat, the game transforms them into the foundation of exploration, conversations, stealth, negotiation, and survival. Players assume the role of Volepain, a resourceful thief whose life changes after becoming caught in a prophecy that threatens the fate of the world. The journey quickly evolves from a personal struggle into a race against an approaching catastrophe, where every decision influences both the story and the lives of the characters encountered along the way. The game's strongest feature is its refreshing interpretation of card mechanics. Every location, character, object, and challenge exists within a card-based framework, allowing encounters to unfold in multiple ways. A hostile situation may be solved through direct confrontation, careful negotiation, clever deception, bribery, or simply avoiding conflict altogether. This flexibility makes each scenario feel like a tactical puzzle rather than a straightforward battle. Players are encouraged to experiment with different solutions based on the resources they possess, creating satisfying moments where intelligence often proves more valuable than brute strength. Resource management adds another meaningful layer to the experience. Food, currency, reputation, equipment, and time all play significant roles throughout the campaign. Every action has a cost, and poor planning can leave the party vulnerable during future encounters. Choosing when to rest, which allies to recruit, or how to spend limited supplies becomes just as important as completing objectives. The game constantly asks players to balance immediate survival with long-term consequences, making even small decisions feel impactful as the story progresses toward one of several possible outcomes. Narrative choice sits at the heart of Foretales. Rather than presenting a simple struggle between heroes and villains, the story introduces numerous factions and morally complex situations that challenge players to define their own values. Acts of generosity, selfishness, diplomacy, or violence all shape future events, often producing consequences that may not become apparent until much later. This branching structure encourages replayability, as alternative decisions reveal entirely different conversations, character relationships, and endings. The writing succeeds in making the world feel alive because it consistently reacts to the player's behavior instead of forcing a predetermined path. The cast of companions further strengthens the adventure. Each character contributes unique skills that expand the range of tactical possibilities during encounters while also bringing distinct personalities to the narrative. Their abilities naturally complement the card mechanics, allowing players to approach familiar situations in new ways depending on the composition of the group. This combination of gameplay utility and narrative development helps each companion feel like a meaningful part of the journey rather than simply another playable unit. Artistically, Foretales leaves a lasting impression through its beautifully illustrated presentation. The hand-drawn artwork gives every card a storybook quality, while the anthropomorphic animal characters display expressive animations that reinforce both humorous and emotional moments. The fantasy environments remain colorful and imaginative throughout the adventure, providing visual variety without distracting from the strategic focus of the gameplay. Although players primarily interact with cards, the presentation successfully conveys a sense of traveling through a living fantasy world. The soundtrack and sound design complement the visual style with atmospheric compositions that shift naturally between peaceful exploration, tense confrontations, and dramatic story sequences. The music supports the emotional tone without overwhelming it, while sound effects provide satisfying feedback during every interaction. Together, the audio and visual elements create an immersive experience that emphasizes storytelling and thoughtful decision-making over flashy spectacle. Despite its many strengths, Foretales is not entirely without flaws. Players who pursue multiple playthroughs will eventually encounter recurring events and familiar puzzles before reaching unexplored story branches. While the branching narrative offers strong replay value, some mechanical encounters become easier once their optimal solutions are understood. In addition, players expecting a traditional deck-building experience may find the emphasis on narrative choices and resource management more prominent than extensive card customization. These limitations, however, do little to diminish the game's overall quality. Foretales stands out as a creative blend of interactive storytelling, strategic planning, and card-based gameplay that offers a refreshing alternative to more conventional adventure games. Its meaningful choices, flexible encounter design, memorable cast, and polished presentation create an experience where every decision genuinely matters. By successfully combining narrative depth with accessible yet rewarding mechanics, it delivers a memorable fantasy adventure that rewards curiosity, careful planning, and multiple playthroughs. It is an easy recommendation for players who enjoy story-focused games that encourage experimentation and thoughtful problem-solving. Rating: 8/10
GOTY
Love the art, gameplay is a pretty neat combination of deck building and resource management but it honestly lacks in the music side of things Overall its pretty good imo a nice game to have if you like (furries) deck games!
Absolutely reccomend I was hooked
I was looking for a game to fill the void Armello left, and this fit nicely.
