Reviews
Get your 72-leaf clover and necklace of rabbit feet, this game is RNG all the way through, with very little player agency. Even if you hyper-analyze every situation to calculate the odds to be maximally in your favor, situations will only end up "acceptable" around 60% of the time, with "pound sand" as the other 40%.
D&D Lite with friends... and a whole lot of bad luck. For The King is basically what happens if you take a tabletop RPG, simplify it into a video game, and throw in a healthy dose of RNG. If you've ever wanted something that captures the feeling of a Dungeons & Dragons campaign without needing a Dungeon Master, this is about as close as it gets. I've done multiple playthroughs, and no two runs have ever felt the same. Sometimes the game blesses you with incredible gear and lucky rolls that make you feel unstoppable. Other times... it decides your party no longer deserves happiness and proceeds to beat you into the dirt. I've had amazing runs where everything clicked, and I've had runs where my party got absolutely destroyed because the dice simply weren't on my side. And honestly? That's part of the fun. This game is not meant to be easy. It rewards planning, teamwork, and adapting to whatever chaos the RNG throws at you. When you finally land that huge critical hit, find the perfect piece of gear, or barely survive an encounter that looked impossible, it feels incredibly satisfying because you had to earn it. That said, the game will absolutely punish bad decisions. One wrong turn, poor resource management, or bringing a party with overlapping weaknesses can snowball into disaster. I also learned the hard way that running three characters with the same damage type is usually a terrible idea. Experimenting with different party compositions is where a lot of the replayability comes from. The biggest recommendation I can give is this: Play it with friends. While it's perfectly playable solo, this game really shines in co-op. Coordinating strategies, celebrating ridiculous lucky rolls, and laughing when everything goes horribly wrong creates some genuinely memorable moments. Some of the funniest gaming memories I've had came from this game kicking our butts in spectacular fashion. Overall, For The King is one of those games that will make you angry, frustrated, excited, and incredibly satisfied—all sometimes within the same battle. If you enjoy turn-based RPGs, roguelites, or anything that captures the spirit of a tabletop adventure, this is an easy recommendation. Just remember... sometimes the dice simply hate you. Rating: 8.5/10

Every market we collect.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.67/day in the week to Aug 4 → 3.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Simple but fun game even if its a turnbase game. Many encounters, weapons and others. Feels like playing baord game with your friends. Good for cozy and casual gaming
Buy this game, do not buy the second game as it sucks. This one is an awesome turn based game.
