It's a great way to unwind after a hard day, and a great way to get ready for bed. Not a lot of action, but plenty of calm environment, and you can actually apply some real world logic to how you fish. Use what you know about fish and their habitats to find the best possible place to harvest your chosen morsels, then scan through the sales records to see what port is offering the best price, and go there to sell. Tired of doing it all yourself? Go hire sla- crew! Hire some crew to operate your work tables, haul pots, and gut fish! Save up enough and you could buy that one snow crabber that's got your eye for a cool 29.5 million! Seriously, though, it's a good game, just not high in action. It's great for winding down for sleep, and a good way to pass time.

Ich finde das Spiel super !!!!! da haben die Entwickler wirklich was gutes hinbekommen.Die vielen Möglichkeiten ,mit unterschiedlichen Booten und Fangtechniken fischen zu gehen, ist toll. Natürlich fängt man klein an, wie in jedem Spiel.Aber mit der Zeit kann man sich durch Geldverdienen eine Fischeriflotte aufstellen. Wichtig ist natürlich, in der Bar die Tipps abzuholen , sonst fischt man im trüben. Besonders gelungen finde ich das DLC Jakobsmuscheln fischen. Gerade die einzelnen Details beim dem alten Boot " Old Ben " sind super. Mit dem Holzkran und der manuellen Winde, einfach Klasse . Dazu hätte ich eine kleine Anregung. Vielleicht können die Entwickler noch ein DLC rausbringen, wo so alte Boote wie die " Old Ben " mit verschieden Fangmöglichkeiten zur Verfügung gestellt wird. Ich könnte mir vorstellen, das es auch vielen anderen Gamern gefallen würde.Ihr könnt es euch ja mal überlegen.

It's a niche game. If you like commercial fishing games ( I fell in love with the genre after first playing Deadliest Catch: Alaskan Storm back in 2008) this and the first game from these developers (Fishing: Barents Sea) is probably the best out there. A BIG however, is that this iteration is still riddled with bugs. Thus far, none of them are game breaking, but extremely frustrating nonetheless. Unfortunately, some bugs I have encountered were first mentioned years ago and have never been fixed and likely never will be as the developers have moved on to their next game. Why the positive review? It scratches an itch in a genre that is woefully sparse of choices. If you don't have the itch to begin with, then don't bother. If you are curious if you would like this genre, pick up their first game. That game has it's own issues, but are mainly having to do with piss poor design choice by the developers, but aren't enough to prevent me from playing. The game itself is much more stable as far as bugs are concerned (although there are still some there) than this entry. Both are overpriced, in my opinion, so wait for a sale if you must.

This is a great game. Very detailed and immersive simulation with decent graphics. It lets you experience commercial fishing as close to reality as possible and drive many types of boats with different engaging fishing activities (mini-games) on each. The economic system is also quite balanced, allowing you to progress through your career comfortably but still challenging you to hunt more and more fish using newer techniques and machinery, very close to how tycoon games do it. Like a real captain, you can also manage your crew and invest in their training, which a lot of things depend on especially when you use bigger ships. There are several bad things, tho. AI traffic is awful, their movement is buggy and unrealistic. There is no storm weather. Although some boats have really nice and detailed interior, a lot of them look ugly inside or crew cabin is not accessible at all. There are also some annoying minor bugs still left to this day. Despite all the cons, I really love the game and find it one of the most engaging and immersive simulators I've played. It could be somewhat boring due to its peaceful gameplay, but it's definitely a go-to game for everyone who likes boats and fishing. I hope the developers will put even more effort into their new projects and continue to release marine-themed games, because they seem to cope pretty well.
