Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 26 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
This game first introduced me to Warhammer 40K and then I forgot about the series until Dawn of War came out. Anyway, I am happy to say that this game is still fun in 2026.
The game mechanics - and overall feel of the game - are the closest you can get to my favorite GW tabletop (Epic Armageddon), with a major difference perhaps in the way aviation is used. In terms of QoL it's a very hard pass. I am a gamer from "that" generation and despite that, in 2026 I got tired fast from its clunky interface. BUT It deserves a remake. Keep the old, pixellated videos (no AI scaling, please), keep all of the great unit sheets, keep most of the gameplay, just make a refresh on graphics, animations and a more dynamic UI, and this could become a hit for turn-based tactics fans.

one of the most fun strategy games ive played
Command Infantry, Tanks, Artillery, Super Heavy Tanks and Titans to smash hordes of Orks!
OH damn, got me right in the nostalgia... memories flooding back of playing this 30 years ago. What a great game, and looking back in hindsight, ahead of its time with some of its features.
great 40k experience
Great bit of old school fun
I've had this game since it's original big-box physical release! Built on the test rules for Warhammer Epic 40,000 (The devs were given rules as GW was readying the release of their boxgame) this is a faithful recreation of the ruleset as it stood just prior to release by GW The UI and QoL features of the game are a little lacking and dated but it remains a solid 90s 40K game nonetheless Indeed, most of the charm comes from the infamous cutscenes (made by the company that did the Inquisitor short film) and the fact that this represents a full planetary invasion - switching between a global strategic layer and a digital, isometric, tabletop battle simulation following the Epic rules of the time It remains the ONLY 40k game to get the feel of a planetary invasion right - The Space marines are rare, only really used for special assaults and roles performed by elite troops (indeed, they get told to return to duties elsewhere very early on) leaving the Planetary Defence and Imperial Guard forces to do the bulk of the work - This is who you spend most of your time managing and fighting with Probably my only critique other than the dated UI (even then) is the limited response to player actions on the strategic map layer - without spoilers there are a couple of times the Orks respond throughout the game but after a point you can happily sit and wait to your advantage. This was an issue on initial release in 1997, it remains so now. I feel it was a design oversight probably bought on by pressure to release and had it spent a few more months in the oven, we'd have had more dynamism A Chaos Expansion was planned - you can find an Alpha state mod with some of the content from "various sources" around the web and it's worth checking out if you can hunt it down (alas would be a ToS breach to link here) All in all, highly recommended!
