the games still hold up well if you like turn based, I'm not the biggest fan of X's sphere grid system, but the boosters added to the remaster take a huge weight off my shoulders in that regard, but the ATB system on X-2 is feels very dated and unwieldy and it's quite possibly one of the worst forms of turn based combat there is, which makes X-2 seem less appealing, but I am quite fond of the story, if you can set aside your initial confusion at it seeming like a vapid cash grab pseudo-magical girl game with no emotional depth in comparison with X, it's got a quite heartfelt story under the fanservice coat of paint, I'm quite fond of Yuna's journey trying to find her place in a Spira she didn't think she'd live long enough to see. HOWEVER: beware the performance issues, FFX in specific has a memory leak issue that hasn't been fixed in the 13 years this remaster has been out, in which if you play for too long, the FMV's will be replaced by a green screen, and some of the character models will start to break, In separate occasions I had Seymour, Auron, and Yuna disappear almost completely in some cutscenes save for a few floating accessories, parts of clothing, or some parts of their hair, eventually, the game will shut itself down after a while of these things popping up all in all, great game but beware the unfixed bugs

This was my first time playing a final fantasy game and i could not get enough of it. Nothing in current game culture comes close to the story telling masterpiece that is FFX. Playing it on an oled steamdeck was a dream come true. i only wish i had played it sooner.

One of the better FF Titles but not as good as I remembered. Full cleared on ps2 as a kid and always held FFX as a top 3 FF game, but probably closer to 5th now while I'm the process of replaying all the major titles starting with the 1st one. Still holds as one of the better storylines though. Spec wise: I play on a modern pc, I couldn't launch/play the game free of frequent crashing without downloading a 3rd-party file to allow for more memory. Should not be a thing.
