About

The world has fallen under the dominion of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a sinister corporation that has monopolized the planet's very life force as Mako energy. In the urban megalopolis of Midgar, an anti-Shinra rebel group calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their campaign of resistance.
Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra's elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the rebels, unaware that he will be drawn into an epic battle for the fate of the planet, while having to come to terms with his own lost past.
This product is an upgraded version of FINAL FANTASY VII – 2013 Edition with additional features (there are no changes or additions to the story).

Reviews
I have no idea if the port itself is good having never played the original console version, but the game is great. There is absolutely some jank to it, but some complaints that other people have brought up either aren't at all a thing or is just stuff you have to accept when you play a game from 1997. Like yeah the graphics aren't great. *It's a game from 1997*. Otherwise, some actual problems: -The minigames sucked. Not even anything else to say, they were just bad and unnecessary. -The translation was also very bad and made it kind of hard to follow the story at times -The ATB system is still present. It should have died after 4 and never came back -Although it's mostly optional I wish the Gold Saucer was better. It's not fun, ironically enough -The soundtrack isn't bad but I wouldn't say it's particularly good, either. It's fine. Except for One Winged Angel, obviously, which goes hard. -They really didn't need to make the animation for Sephiroth's big attack 100000 years long but here we are -The 3D effect they were going for with the backgrounds kinda screwed with me sometimes and made it hard to tell where I could go But overall, it's really good. The materia system is fun and not overly complicated, it's nice that you can actually stick with whatever characters you want and not be forced to use everyone at the end like in 6, and that the ones you are forced to use level up automatically so you're not stuck with a weak party member for absolutely no reason, again like in 6. The story is kind of janky due to the bad translation but the parts that come through are really interesting as long as you're actually paying attention. Basically if you come into this understanding that it's a game from 1997 and all that entails, good and bad, you'll enjoy it.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 6.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

better than remake
still pretty solid as someone who didn't grew up playing this
Unplayable, at least with a third party controller. Launches the Steam overlay any time I press A.
FF VII was indeed the one with the most dire need of a remake, not because it is the greatest, but because it was the one that had aged the worse FFVII has aged like milk. . All games after where easily accesible with a remaster, all pixel games before where easily accessible on their own. But VII ... looks like ass for todays eyes, has a completely bizarre tone and can not decide whether it wants to be earnest or utterly goofy and a lot of game play aspects (espescially the mini games) are like relics form the 90s that, for a very good reason, have never been implemented before or since in Final Fantasy. The original FF VII is in almost any aspect one of the sub-par entries.
What cretin made an immortality cheat bound to f1 that you can't change? It's even worse on controller, and catching it totally ruins a fight. Moron port.
Segundo melhor jogo de todos os tempos. Melhor RPG do PS1 disparado!
