Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

The origin of my love for RPGs. An epic classic of good vs. evil with twists, turns, and surprisingly emotional characters and storyline depth for a 16-bit game from 1991. Still easily one of the best soundtracks across all Final Fantasy games, and RPGs as a whole, despite the limitations of the time. I originally played this on the SNES as "Final Fantasy II" and it was the first game I ever bought with my own money after beating Super Mario World and Zelda: ALTTP, which I had gotten as presents. 30+ years later my love for this game is still there, and it is always in the back of my mind when playing modern RPGs. This is very much the "definitive" version of Final Fantasy IV, combining new orchestral versions of the music, an updated translation of the script, gameplay and difficulty tweaks, and general improvements made over the years between all the various ports and re-releases into one complete version.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

An excellent revision of the old game. Very faithful to the original with a great improvements.
Of all the various Final Fantasy games, FF4 is considered to have one of the best storylines. The customization takes a back seat in favor of more fleshed out character arcs. FF4, at times, feels a bit more linear than many of its colleagues, as well. However, it is phenomenal, with an enchanting story, character development and huge worlds. It is definitely one of the best retro jrpgs around.
I really enjoyed Final Fantasy IV Pixel Remaster. It's a good game, especially if you like classic JRPGs, but I think it has some problems compared to other Final Fantasy games. The story is pretty simple and feels rushed in some parts. Some characters are interesting, but there isn't enough time to really get attached to them. The party changes a lot, and I think the relationships between the characters could have been developed more. The villain is also not very interesting, and the world feels a bit empty. Some areas, especially the Underworld and the Moon, are quite big but don't have much to explore or do. Getting 100% is pretty easy, especially in the Pixel Remaster version. The most annoying part for me was getting all the summons from monsters, since it can take some time and luck. Overall, it's a good and fun game, especially if you like old-school JRPGs. I enjoyed it, but I still think it falls a bit short compared to other Final Fantasy games.
Intemporel !

Worth a play for the price!
