About
Venture into a handcrafted world where ruins whisper of past cataclysms. Master the art of sword and sorcery and forge your path with relics, spells and choices that shape who you become in this first-person RPG.
While Fatekeeper follows a focused narrative path, the world invites exploration. From ancient battlegrounds, vast underground caverns and serene forests to crumbling sanctuaries forgotten by time, each area rewards curiosity with hidden lore, forgotten relics, and unexpected encounters.
Battle a wide variety of foes, each with distinct patterns, strengths, and weaknesses. Success demands both skill and preparation. Engage in reactive melee combat, unleash spells with precision, and adapt your tactics on the fly. Your build matters—but so does how you wield it.
Fatekeeper offers rich progression mechanics that go far beyond surface-level stats. Build and refine your character with meaningful choices across combat styles, attributes, and spell schools. Whether you lean into raw strength, nimble precision, or devastating sorcery, the game supports a wide range of viable and unique builds.
Discover, loot, and master a wide variety of weapons, armor, and artifacts. Customize your loadout to suit your playstyle, and experiment with powerful combinations to overcome increasingly challenging enemies. Every item matters—and the right gear can be the difference between victory and ruin.

Its beautifull, combat is fun. As of now, the EA is not long, but man i want to play the rest! Some potential to have great replay value when items and gear are diverse to make cool builds. Kick the goblin of a ledge feels like a minigame everytime. Especially when they still come at you and missing an arm. Those interactions are pure gold! Went frost magic all the way the 2nd time and had some sustain issues at start, but once you get to mana regen in skill tree, you feel like a badass again.

This is a great game. No other way to put it in my opinion. Reminds me of Dark Messiah. The world is full of details. The ways you take are straight forward but you also can/have a look around and find a alternative or a better ways to clear out enemies. Exploring and looking into dark corners and places high above pays out in the long run. There is always hidden stuff, which can be usefull. Movement and combat can be felt. One point of improvement maybe the speed in which potions are consumed or poison etc is applied. It can be quite slow, which makes fights a bit more challenging. The fights are still doable. Still a great first impression.
Basically unplayable. The controls are absolutely horrific and the reaction time to button clicking in battles is also really horrific. The same level for an hour, tried switching around controls to make it beatable, different types of attacks, it does ♥♥♥♥ all. No point when all it does is frustrate you. Graphics make the game nice but the gameplay just ruins it. How is someone supposed to beat 6 enemies or more, when half the time your blocks take 2-3 seconds to react after an attack? It is basically a guaranteed health loss to try attack 50/50 of the time depending on the position you end up in against so many enemies. Even dashing can barely save you against so many enemies. just really frustrating.
Good game, i would like to see some type of parry feature. Sometimes getting overwhelmed is almost impossible to get out of but still manageable. The games looks and feels great. Like a more difficult skyrim. Obviously i assume there will be more loot. Looting enemies would be nice too for stuff. I know this is early access so i am just saying things for feedback more than a review. Cool game and worth the money for a night on games.
I find the level design is very good, lots of traps, things for you to use spells on to activate and kill enemies. The lack of stealth has thrown me but it stops the game from being dragged to a standstill by stealthbuilds. it feels like you went back to old school games like Gothic for the combat. Slow swings you cant cancel with a stamina bar punish just mashing attack. You can be overwhelmed easily in a crowd. It forces you to use your items which themselves are slow to use. The lack of enemy health bars means that you have to track your hits yourself. I can see how players used to current gen games with their visual queues for climbable areas, minimaps, and quest markers could find themselves frustrated. For me they add to the grim universe you have built and I found myself actively exploring for hidden areas. I do wish that there were flourishes for kills, maybe just to break up the same swing animations but overall the weight of the swings, power of the enemies, and changing environments stop the combat from feeling monotonous. For a team of 13 its well done. Keep up the good work
ja es ist halt early access und hier wirklich sehr early. gute grafik, spiel ist etwas schwerfällig für meinen geschmack sollte aber jeder selbst ausprobieren, speicherpunkte wurde auch schon mal erwähnt in den rezis. vg
Well, certainly "early access". Played for about an hour, game crashed three times. But I had fun! FateKeeper has really nice visuals and the game play is very engaging! I wish the rats voice was different. IDK, it just sounded out of sorts for the rest of the adventure. But Im in! Cant wait to see the improvements. Keep it up devs, great job so far!
The game great fun. Combat feels good, graphics look awesome, alchemy is interesting, etc. However this game has a pretty big problem which is it's optimization. (Unreal Engine 5 be damned! xd) Even when running on the medium preset and dlss on ultra performance mode this game can sometimes fall below 30-40 fps for me which is just not great. The early traversal sections were fine where I could get consistent 60 on ultra using dlss quality but reaching the ruins or whatever they were called made me take an instant performance hit. I've had Minecraft shaders running better. Also don't know if this is just me but having global illumination and/or reflections set to anything lower than medium breaks the rendering completely and everything turns blue. One thing I'd appreciate is having unlimited save slots, lemme waste my storage how I want to being locked to 13 isn't that big of a problem but it is a shame.
