You are a gun for hire, trapped in a war-torn African state, stricken with malaria and forced to make deals with corrupt warlords on both sides of the conflict in order to make this country your home. You must identify and exploit your enemies' weaknesses, neutralizing their superior numbers and firepower with surprise, subversion,...

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.14/day in the week to Sep 18 → 4.4/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Песчаный ковбой
There has been a critical renaissance or reappraisal of this game that is very characteristic of Ubisoft titles. However, on this occasion I must disagree with the sentiment. The game does not become good, or a hidden gem, simply because time has elapsed. It was radically revamped for a reason - it simply is too barebone and too mechanically simple to justify its run time. And a lot of the friction which it has, e.g., the arduous traversal, the constantly respawning enemies, and the lack of friendly NPCs, simply struck me as incredibly lazy game design, or unsolved design problems. The immersion argument does not work: Yes, I can rationalise to make all these quirks make sense within the world. But why would I? When I was not having fun? Was a deeper significance gained at the expense of fun? Is this some commentary about video game violence which reoriented my relationship to first person shooters? No. And so it was all for nothing. The art direction would be neat but for the fact that I am a massive fan of the first Assassin's Creed game. Having played that game at launch and this game in 2026, I do not have the benefit of nostalgia. All I see is reused assets (colour grading, trees, foliage, icons) - a design language which appeared cheap to me now because I have seen and loved it elsewhere. Also given the similarity between how these games look, I cannot help but notice what FC2 lacks which AC1 has in abundance - good writing, compelling characters, philosophical depth which does not reduce to existential nihilism. At for the gunplay, it is simply not fun at the rate which enemy encounters are distributed. The survival mechanics are as deep as a puddle and you will not be making interesting choices in terms of which routes to take, what guns to keep, or what abilities to upgrade (because there is very little character progression). It is just waves after waves of shooting, the same sound effects, the same fires, the same environments, the same enemies. If monotony is the point, then I suppose that should be that then. A very disappointing entry for all the glowing praise I heard about it online.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I'd recommend this on sale if you're an FPS enthusiast. This game isn't as streamlined, gamified, or purely fun as Far Cry 3 is, but it has a unique charm that enables me to enjoy the grueling, constant respawn of enemy encampments, and frequent stops to shoot another stupid patrol car that is pursuing me, or go get another stupid Malaria pill refill. It's definitely not a perfect game (or even close), but it has some really cool aspects: tight, satisfying gunplay, great fire and physics (that exceed Far Cry 3), really unique Africa setting, immersive gun jamming and wound healing mechanics (some people might hate these, but I enjoy them). It is understandable why some people dislike this game, but the unique charm of the title somehow enables me to tolerate the annoyances. It is also very well optimized. (I've played mostly on Xbox.)
bom
Get in the car and get out the car simulator. Drive past 2 outposts (or less if you unlucky), get shot, car smoked, wasted all of the enemies, repair the car, and repeat for 15 minutes or more. Repetitive asf, it's like you drive from point A (edge of the map) to point B (the other side edge of the map), or it's from A to B to C if you do the optional objective. I'm still in 20% completion, I hope it gets better, might change this.
