You are a gun for hire, trapped in a war-torn African state, stricken with malaria and forced to make deals with corrupt warlords on both sides of the conflict in order to make this country your home. You must identify and exploit your enemies' weaknesses, neutralizing their superior numbers and firepower with surprise, subversion,...

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.14/day in the week to Sep 18 → 4.25/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
There has been a critical renaissance or reappraisal of this game that is very characteristic of Ubisoft titles. However, on this occasion I must disagree with the sentiment. The game does not become good, or a hidden gem, simply because time has elapsed. It was radically revamped for a reason - it simply is too barebone and too mechanically simple to justify its run time. And a lot of the friction which it has, e.g., the arduous traversal, the constantly respawning enemies, and the lack of friendly NPCs, simply struck me as incredibly lazy game design, or unsolved design problems. The immersion argument does not work: Yes, I can rationalise to make all these quirks make sense within the world. But why would I? When I was not having fun? Was a deeper significance gained at the expense of fun? Is this some commentary about video game violence which reoriented my relationship to first person shooters? No. And so it was all for nothing. The art direction would be neat but for the fact that I am a massive fan of the first Assassin's Creed game. Having played that game at launch and this game in 2026, I do not have the benefit of nostalgia. All I see is reused assets (colour grading, trees, foliage, icons) - a design language which appeared cheap to me now because I have seen and loved it elsewhere. Also given the similarity between how these games look, I cannot help but notice what FC2 lacks which AC1 has in abundance - good writing, compelling characters, philosophical depth which does not reduce to existential nihilism. At for the gunplay, it is simply not fun at the rate which enemy encounters are distributed. The survival mechanics are as deep as a puddle and you will not be making interesting choices in terms of which routes to take, what guns to keep, or what abilities to upgrade (because there is very little character progression). It is just waves after waves of shooting, the same sound effects, the same fires, the same environments, the same enemies. If monotony is the point, then I suppose that should be that then. A very disappointing entry for all the glowing praise I heard about it online.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Melhor jogo da Ubisoft da Franquia Far Cry
This game doesn't respect your time. the gameloop looks like this: ・Spend 3 minutes holding down W driving through a bland map to get the next mission ・Spend 3 minutes holding down W driving through a bland map to get to your target ・wipe out the camp in 1 minute. Rinse and repeat, but essentially you're stuck holding W going from point A to point B until your finger hurt. Not my idea of fun.
Far Cry 2 is a immersive and unforgiving open-world shooters. Set in a war-torn African country, it ditches the power fantasy and instead throws you into a gritty, unpredictable sandbox where everything can (and will) go wrong. Guns jam, malaria hits at the worst times, and fire spreads dynamically, turning small fights into chaos. The atmosphere is where the game truly shines—minimal HUD, no hand-holding, and a world that feels alive but hostile. However, it’s not for everyone. Missions can feel repetitive, enemies respawn aggressively, and the realism can become frustrating rather than fun.

idk how but i havent gotten any bugs, i can listen to the jackal tapes, didnt need to install the fixer. again idk how, but no bugs and it runs better than games made now. the lack of ray tracing really lets the lighting and shadows do the work. when you see that sun setting through the canopy or the tall grass, it gives you a unique feeling.
War profiteering simulator. Would recommend.
