Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.57/day in the week to Jul 30 → 3.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

right now i got the water chip and the game is amazing
I think the story of this Fallout might be the best one of all the series. Ive always wanted to play the first fallout, but I always had a tough time getting into it, but once I finally got the hang of the mechanics, it was worth it. The story and vibe of this fallout are awesome. The turn based mechanics do take some getting used to, but its totally worth it once you get them down. And honestly the start of the game is the hardest part. I recommend playing this if you like the other fallouts. And I do love the early CGI graphics animations, they are awesome ha. I never realized Ron Perlman was a voice actor in the very first fallout, that is another awesome thing ha. There is actually quite a few things that were in the very first fallout that I thought started in the newer ones (Fallout 3 and newer). The writing in this game is very similar to New Vegas's writing, I was actually kind of surprised how on par it was with New Vegas's story quality. Honestly I would love it if they would remake this game in a modern 3d engine, and make it like the newer fallouts, that would be amazing. I really do like the story of this game. I do wish the inventory menu was a bit more user friendly, like showing all your items at once, instead of having to click to scroll down, and to be able to rearrange items would of been nice. But its not too bad, and doesnt majorly impact the game. Overall, glad I played the game, and I feel like anyone thats a fan of the fallout stories, will like this game, once they get used to the mechanics.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 8: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Finishing Fallout 1 feels like going back to the late 90s In a very interesting way, especially having started the series with Fallout. 3, then New Vegas and then quitting after Fallout 4 disappointed. At first the game definitely shows its age. Though it is interesting to know that this is where the Fallout lore began and honestly it's kind of shocking how little it's changed. I'm not referring to the art design but just the overall feel of the game. From my understanding, Fallout 2 does a lot to push the time line forward. Full disclosure, I used a very detailed guide while playing this game because frankly I have no idea how you'd even know how to do any of the quests without it. They really don't make games like this anymore for good and bad. I definitely feel I appreciate the isometric approach to Fallout much more than the 3D one. Even in New Vegas which I love, it definitely doesn't hold up as well as this does. As for the writing, it is one of the strongest parts of the experience. Even now, the dialogue feels thoughtful and grounded, mixing dark humor with a bleak sense of survival. I was actually surprised at how many of the voice actors I recognized from work in their later career. You have Ron Perlman doing the voiceover, Keith, David, and the woman who voiced Foxy Love from Drawn Together is in this. Playing something this influential, especially when it’s almost as old as you are, makes it easier to appreciate how many ideas that feel normal today were still new back then. Some mechanics definitely feel outdated, but they don’t ruin the experience. If anything, they highlight how much games have changed over time. Once you get used to how things work, the older design becomes part of the appeal rather than a problem. Overall, I really loved this game and can't wait to play the sequel
What is there to say about Fallout 1? The game is a thematic masterpiece. Having played tons of New Vegas, I decided to finally go back and beat 1. The world building, visuals, and lore of this game are the envy of nearly every other series from this era. The mutants, the master, the settlements, and the quests are all top notch in their presentation. All that said, the game play is a mix. Like many CRPGs, the game definitely has a "most optimal" way to play. Dump CHA, 9 AGI, 9 INT tag small guns, speech, and lockpick. Then max energy weapons once you start fighting enemies that have them. The game also has a conveyance problem and numerous bugs even with things like the Fixit patch. Often the game will lie to you about events that happen such as "you hacked this computer and disabled the force fields" when in fact this is bugged and does nothing and gives you XP. Overall would I recommend Fallout 1 to be played today? If you are a fan of CRPGs and want to experience one of the first really great ones or if you are a big Fallout fan in general I would say yes it is worth it to play (maybe with a strategy guide at your side for when you get stuck). If you aren't a not a huge fan of the genre or series, skip it.
i love you dogmeat
I bounced off “Fallout: A Post-Nuclear Role Playing Game” so quickly that I never thought to write a review years ago. The early hours combine punishing difficulty, opaque systems, and an implied timer that makes the search for the water chip feel very urgent. (3/10) This trial-and-error approach was a hallmark of its era, but for me, it represents a failure of the RPG format. The core appeal of an RPG is the ability to inhabit a character and navigate a world through their perspective. When a game relies on 'death as a teacher,' it breaks that immersion entirely. My character frequently faced threats they had no way of anticipating or avoiding. To survive, I had to stop 'being' the character and start 'gaming' the engine. That is to say, reloading saves and using meta-knowledge my character couldn't possibly possess. If the character would not (or could not) logically take the actions required to stay alive, the RPG's internal logic has collapsed. While I understand why this is a beloved classic for those who enjoy old-school, system-heavy challenges, I struggle to see it as a successful role-playing experience. It asks you to abandon the role and prioritize the mechanics instead. I cannot recommend it unless what you are looking for is this old-school format specifically. For those who actually want to inhabit a world and roleplay, I’ve found the story is best enjoyed by watching a playthrough done by one of the game’s many fans; that way, you can enjoy the story and they can go ahead and min-max to their heart’s content. (3/10)

Acho engraçado como os desenvolvedores tentaram mirar em que guerras são inevitáveis porque são da natureza humana e não conseguiram fazer isso sem apertar fundo no ponto da critica ao capitalismo centralizado com manipulação de informação
The beginning of the game is handled so good I stayed for the whole thing
except for the rope part, pixel hunting is not my faivourite thing
. Not even the carrion eaters are interested in your radiated corpse.
