Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 8 → 1/day in the week after.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A huge fan of Bio Inc so was super excited when the devs started this, it's a very tentative thumbs up because there is a lot of potential here. It's different enough from Plague Inc that you'll have a good time but the mechanics of it all seem a bit janky and less polished than Bio Inc, definitely room for improvement. Also you can zoom in and watch your little people deal with 5 volcanos at once.

Extinction Day is a strategy simulation that embraces an unusual perspective by putting players in command of the force responsible for humanity's collapse instead of its salvation. Developed and published by DryGin Studios, the game shifts the focus away from rebuilding civilizations or defending the planet, challenging players to engineer the perfect global catastrophe before humanity can organize a successful escape. The premise is immediately compelling because it flips familiar strategy game conventions, creating an experience centered on calculated destruction, careful planning, and adapting to a world that refuses to surrender. While the concept may remind players of other apocalypse-themed management games, Extinction Day distinguishes itself with mechanics that reward experimentation and long-term strategic thinking rather than simple devastation. The heart of the gameplay lies in deploying a wide range of disasters across the globe while managing the resources generated by the destruction they cause. Every successful catastrophe strengthens your ability to unleash even greater threats, unlocking upgrades and expanding your arsenal as the campaign progresses. Rather than encouraging players to repeatedly use the same tactics, the game emphasizes combining different disasters to produce devastating chain reactions that overwhelm entire regions. Deciding where and when to strike becomes just as important as choosing which disaster to unleash, creating an engaging balance between tactical execution and broader strategic planning. Active abilities further enhance the gameplay by allowing players to respond to changing situations with precision instead of relying entirely on passive systems. What makes Extinction Day more interesting than a straightforward destruction simulator is humanity's constant resistance. Governments react to disasters, emergency services attempt to limit casualties, scientists work tirelessly to develop solutions, and global organizations coordinate recovery efforts to slow the player's advance. These defensive systems create a dynamic battlefield where every successful strategy is eventually met with stronger opposition. The looming construction of a massive escape Ark also introduces a meaningful sense of urgency, forcing players to continuously improve their methods before humanity can abandon the planet altogether. This evolving conflict ensures that victories feel earned rather than automatic and prevents later stages from becoming repetitive. The game's progression system provides plenty of reasons to keep playing beyond the initial campaign. Multiple campaign missions gradually introduce increasingly complex scenarios while higher difficulty settings demand more efficient planning and smarter use of available resources. Challenge missions with unique objectives encourage players to rethink their strategies instead of relying on familiar approaches, and a large collection of unlockable perks and upgrades allows for meaningful customization of each playthrough. Whether focusing on biological outbreaks, natural disasters, military conflicts, or combinations of several catastrophe types, players have the freedom to develop their own style of global annihilation. This variety gives the game considerable replay value, especially for those who enjoy refining strategies and experimenting with different upgrade paths. From a presentation standpoint, Extinction Day delivers a clean and readable interface that complements its large-scale strategic gameplay. The world map clearly communicates the spread of disasters, allowing players to monitor multiple regions without becoming overwhelmed by information. Visual effects effectively convey escalating destruction while remaining functional enough to keep the focus on gameplay rather than spectacle. The audio design reinforces the increasingly desperate atmosphere as humanity struggles to survive, adding tension without becoming distracting during extended sessions. Together, the presentation supports the gameplay well, making complex systems easier to understand while maintaining an immersive sense of worldwide crisis. Despite its strengths, Extinction Day is not entirely free from shortcomings. The variety of mechanics can create a steep learning curve for newcomers, particularly during the early hours when understanding disaster synergies and resource management is essential for success. Some elements may also feel familiar to players who have spent significant time with other global outbreak or catastrophe simulators, although the game's emphasis on adaptive resistance and strategic combinations helps establish its own identity over time. Fortunately, the overall design demonstrates a strong understanding of what makes strategy games rewarding, offering enough depth and progression to encourage repeated playthroughs. Extinction Day successfully transforms global destruction into a thoughtful and satisfying strategic challenge. Its creative premise, layered progression systems, meaningful enemy responses, and emphasis on experimentation combine to create a game that feels both engaging and refreshingly different within the strategy genre. Players who enjoy carefully planning every move, optimizing builds, and overcoming increasingly intelligent opposition will likely appreciate the depth offered throughout its campaign and challenge content. While it demands patience to master its mechanics, the payoff is a rewarding experience that consistently encourages creative problem-solving and strategic adaptation. Rating: 7/10
I like disasters and have the power over the world :) Good game with cool graphics !
Love the setup and seeing all the little guys die. Really solid systems with a lot of replayability once you understand the deeper mechanics. The combo of viruses and volcanos is so satisfying!!
this game is honestly a ton of fun, adding more scenarios more passives/actives will only improve it! more content and DLC! this is a great game
