Reviews
Really wish I wouldn't have bought this. Combat is terrible and it's honestly the one thing I was really looking forward to. It's almost as if XCOM failed miserably with the mechanics on top of sloppy design. I've never spent money on a game so not ready for prime time. Genuinely can't understand the positive reviews.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

OYUNUMA DOKUNANIN ALLAHINI SİKERİM 4
Not bad. Not bad at all. Had previously held off on this game since I tried Vikings and sorta fell off. Maybe I'll go back and try that too sometime.
I had high expectations about this game but when i dwelled into it, i was immensely disappointed. It is a turn based game but you can't speed up the turns you have to sit and watch every move on the chess board. It is basically a chess game with fairly good dialogs and interactions in it. As someone with ADHD it was unplayable for me, sorry devs.
Turn-based combat is good. But everything that isn't turn-based combat is lackluster. Movement out of combat is too slow, takes too long to loot maps, pacification missions are boring, harder difficulties aren't well-balanced (especially at the beginning), legion battles are not engaging, conquering a whole region feels rote and there are almost no meaningful decisions to make, and everything that isn't unique story missions quickly becomes boring. UI is uninspired. Character/writing isn't terrible, but there is so little that it feels paper thin. Would not recommend, many other turn based strategy games that do just about everything else better.
Expeditions: Rome completely drew me in. I have already finished the game once and I will definitely play it again, but in a completely different way. That alone says a lot about its depth. The story is gripping from start to finish. Every decision carries weight, and even the “best” choices come with consequences. At times, it becomes genuinely challenging to stay aligned with your own moral compass and that’s exactly what makes it so powerful. The world feels crafted with care and attention to detail. Each environment has its own atmosphere, and the historical tone remains grounded and immersive. The combat system is intense and highly strategic. You can’t simply rush through encounters, you must think tactically and plan carefully. I especially appreciated that the abilities feel authentic and historically grounded, without unnecessary fantasy elements or magic. The strategic layer on the world map is engaging as well, although I personally feel the larger battles could be refined further. Overall, this game left a lasting impression on me. It’s rare to find a title that balances story, consequence, strategy, and character relationships this well. I sincerely hope we will see an Expeditions: Rome 2 someday. Thank you to the developers for creating such an outstanding experience.
