Recommended. A pulpy 1890s vampire-hunter brawler that swaps the shooter its cover art promises for gauntlet melee and quick-draw revolver finishes, and the surprise pays off completely. The arsenal keeps expanding (flamethrower, crossbow, rail gun, gatling, throwable dynamite, late-game explosive bundles that become a favourite), zapper stuns set up satisfying executions, and early problem enemies like shielded brutes become trivial by the finale as the toolkit matures. It runs smoothly, looks excellent, and the cutscene volume works in its favour. The soft lock-on camera fixes to whatever is in front during crowded fights, one level's path fork is a one-way trip that permanently costs a chest, shield enemies regenerate their shields after breaking, and the flamethrower is near-useless outside detonating glowing enemies. Small gripes on a package that otherwise ticks every box.

Really fun game for the most part. Also runs well on steam deck. The issue with it as mentioned in other reviews is around halfway through rather than making new bosses that are more challenging they just start putting you against two previous bosses ruining immersion and making it hard just for the sake of it rather than designing a new boss, I wish It continued like the first half of the game as I loved it! Play it for a bit of fun but wait for a sale
I ain't the type to stumble onto a game and suddenly realize that Soulslike boss-fights is my thing. Nah, I'd reckon it's more like this: "Hand me a cowboy, a six-shooter, and a proper Western setting. Let me blast some supernatural hell, and I'll give that game a fair shot."
